2025 has been a challenging year for many businesses, especially in the passenger transportation industry. Volatile fuel prices and shifts in consumer behavior post-COVID-19 have put significant pressure on taxi operations.

Not only Mai Linh Group but also other transportation companies have witnessed revenue declines in some key markets, along with the challenge of optimizing operating costs and finding new business solutions in a highly competitive market.

Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2025 of Mai Linh.

In 2024, Mai Linh achieved net revenue of VND 1,343 billion but incurred a loss of VND 43 billion. This reflects the objective difficulties faced by the taxi industry.

Mai Linh has chosen a long-term direction with three key pillars: digital transformation as the focus; customer service as the center; and restructuring to create new momentum for the company.

In terms of digital transformation, Mai Linh has deployed synchronous technology platforms such as the Mai Linh taxi booking app, the 1055 hotline, booking via Zalo, and multiple cashless payment methods.

A notable highlight is the implementation of the Contact Center On Cloud system – a modern cloud computing platform that increases hotline efficiency, enhances multi-channel interaction capabilities (via phone, messaging, social media…), and reduces operating costs compared to traditional models.

In addition to the digital strategy, Mai Linh initiated plans in 2024 to invest in electric vehicles, gradually replacing old cars with environmentally friendly ones. This year’s Annual General Meeting also approved the addition of an electric taxi business model.

“We understand that we cannot continue with the old ways. Therefore, Mai Linh has been undergoing a significant transformation, not only in technology but also in leadership thinking, management models, corporate culture, and development orientation,” shared Mr. Ho Huy, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

“I do not deny that the path ahead will be challenging. But the spirit of the ‘blue warrior’ – which has helped us overcome countless difficulties – will continue to be our inner strength, enabling Mai Linh to persevere,” he added.

“Challenges are a test of our mettle as a company. Mai Linh recognizes the need to change to become stronger and go further, together with our shareholders, customers, and community.”
