International premium milk is increasingly preferred by consumers

According to IMARC Group, the $5.71 billion dairy market in Vietnam will triple in the next decade, growing at a rate of 9.9% per year – double the global average of 4.75%. Notably, there is a growing trend towards premium, imported, and organic dairy products as consumers’ income and nutritional awareness increase.

Country of origin (COO) greatly influences Vietnamese consumers’ decisions to purchase international formula milk, according to a study published in Inder Science Journal. The consulting firm Dezan Shira & Associates also noted that up to 75% of Vietnamese parents consider brand reputation and global certifications as key factors in their purchasing decisions, as they represent quality, safety, and nutritional value, adhering to stringent international standards.

Therefore, the upcoming global launch of the premium dairy brand GippsNature, which meets Australian standards, is expected to garner attention and acceptance from consumers. Notably, GippsNature will be prioritized for an early “landing” in Vietnam in the third quarter of this year, ahead of many other international markets.

GippsNature will sequentially launch dairy products for children, adults, and the elderly, as well as functional foods… catering to multiple age groups. Most importantly, this international brand meets consumers’ high expectations regarding country of origin, pure ingredients, quality standards, and high nutritional value.

Specifically, GippsNature is produced entirely in Gippsland, Australia’s long-established “dairy capital.” The region is renowned for its “nature-friendly” philosophy, allowing cows to graze freely on organically farmed pastures, without the use of growth hormones, antibiotics, or genetically modified feed for the purebred herd… to produce superior quality pure milk.

GippsNature products are also enhanced with premium and rare nutrients that are currently in high demand among consumers, such as A2 protein with a high concentration of B-casein from organic milk sources, and Manuka honey. In addition, the products have obtained multiple certifications for quality and safety, including FDA (USA), HACCP and HALAL (Australia), CFDA (China), and FSSC 22000,… for domestic consumption and demanding export markets. In the third quarter of 2025, Vietnamese consumers will have a new and reliable choice for premium Australian nutritional products.

Which “giant” is behind this global premium dairy brand?

GippsNature is owned by ViPlus Nutritional Australia, but the most interesting fact is that this international joint venture was co-founded by Nutifood (Vietnam) and ViPlus Dairy (Australia).

Viplus Dairy CEO introduces the renowned “nature-friendly” dairy source from Gippsland.

The joint venture was recently launched at the Global Investment Center in Victoria (Melbourne, Australia) under the witness of government representatives from both countries. At the event, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Hoa, Consul and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Vietnam in Australia, highly appreciated the value of this cooperation: “The combination of the essence of the two enterprises, the joint venture not only marks a turning point for Nutifood’s integration but also brings practical benefits to Vietnamese consumers and contributes to promoting bilateral relations between the two countries.”

While GippsNature aims to serve a vast global market, the involvement of Nutifood in its co-creation will soon enable Vietnamese consumers to access premium international nutrition more quickly and easily. At the same time, parents can rest assured in entrusting their trust to these two reputable dairy industry “giants.”

With a history of over 130 years, ViPlus Dairy is a reputable Australian formula milk manufacturer. The company’s reputation has been solidified by numerous recent awards, including the 2024 Australian Dairy Industry Association (DIAA) Award for Excellence in the Dairy Industry and the 2019 Food & Fibre Gippsland (FFG) Award for Excellence in Exports.

Nutifood will directly co-create the premium Australian dairy brand.

Nutifood was established by a team of dedicated doctors and nutrition experts who have been trusted by Vietnamese families for 25 years. The company boasts not only six internationally accredited factories in Vietnam but also a factory and nutrition research institute in Sweden. Along with this are familiar product lines to generations of consumers, such as NuVi, Värna, NutiMilk… and especially the market-leading children’s powdered milk product for consecutive years – GrowPLUS.

“The GippsNature brand, which is about to be launched, is the result of a long-term strategy between ViPlus Dairy, with a proud 130-year heritage, and Nutifood, with its creative spirit and deep understanding of the Vietnamese market,” emphasized Mr. Tran Bao Minh, Vice Chairman of Nutifood’s Board of Directors.

It can be said that GippsNature is not just a premium dairy brand but also a symbol of Nutifood’s relentless efforts to raise nutritional standards and serve domestic and international consumers. Together with ViPlus Dairy, Nutifood will co-create from brand positioning, product development, market strategy to value chain operations… to ensure that the quality of Australian standard milk is strictly controlled and reaches every family worldwide.
