Information from Báo Lai Châu on August 25: The Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board welcomed and worked with Sun Group on the deployment of the Sun Smart Link project to develop digital technology infrastructure based on a distributed model.

At the meeting, Sun Smart Link representatives presented an overview of the project and introduced the current status of technology infrastructure and construction solutions for industry based on a distributed model. The enterprise aims to develop decentralized digital technology, combining the exploitation of local renewable energy sources such as small hydropower, solar power, and wind power to meet green and sustainable development goals.

Sun Smart Link representatives expressed their desire for Lai Chau province’s companionship in resolving legal procedures, including the project in the list of prioritized investments, and maximizing preferential policies within the framework of the law. The enterprise also requested priority access to public land such as protected forests, protective forests, production forests, and river and stream beds to implement the project.

The provincial People’s Committee leaders and departments pointed out issues that need clarification to ensure the project complies with regulations on innovative enterprises and further assess its development potential.

Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Comrade Giàng Páo Mỷ, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, and Head of the Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly, highly appreciated the project’s innovative approach to developing digital technology infrastructure.

She stated that the project aligns with Resolution 57 of the Politburo on developing science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. It also has the potential to create local employment opportunities.

Comrade Giàng Páo Mỷ requested the People’s Committee to establish a task force in coordination with relevant departments to survey and implement the next steps in accordance with regulations. She also emphasized the importance of proactively consulting with central ministries and sectors to address difficulties and create favorable conditions for investors to soon implement the project.
