The Apple Secret They Don’t Want You to Know: iPhone 17 Ends Overheating, Ditching the ‘Mobile Sauna’ Era

Apple is gearing up for the iPhone 17 launch event, scheduled for midnight on September 10 (Vietnam time). The tech community has already spotted a “secret” hidden in the event poster: the Apple logo is designed in the style of a thermal image, sparking speculation about a significant thermal upgrade in the iPhone 17 generation.

Apple’s logo in the invitation hides an interesting easter egg.

On the invitation, the “Apple” logo is presented in shades of orange, red, and green, resembling an image from a thermal camera. A well-known Chinese tech blogger named “Dingjiao Digital” analyzed that the orange and red areas (representing high temperatures) gradually dissipating could be Apple’s subtle way of hinting at an ultra-stable thermal system in the upcoming iPhone 17 series.

iPhone 17 is expected to feature powerful thermal technology to prevent overheating.

This suggestion aligns with previous rumors claiming that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will be the first iPhone models to incorporate vapor chamber (VC) cooling technology.

The VC is a premium cooling system that operates on the principle of liquid circulation: the liquid evaporates when it comes into contact with a heat source (the chip), the vapor moves to a colder area, condenses, and releases the heat outside. This process is far more efficient than the graphite sheets used in previous iPhone generations, promising to eliminate overheating issues during intense gaming or heavy tasks.

The iPhone 17 is expected to address overheating issues comprehensively.

In addition to the thermal system, other specifications of the iPhone 17 Pro have also been revealed, indicating a comprehensive upgrade:

  • Camera Design: The rear camera cluster is rearranged into a large horizontal matrix, with three lenses on the left and the flash and LiDAR sensor on the right.

  • Processor: Equipped with the new A19 Pro chip.

  • Cameras: The front camera is upgraded to 24MP, and all three rear cameras boast a resolution of 48MP.

  • RAM: Boosted to 12GB.

  • Display: Retains the ProMotion 120Hz screen.

  • Operating System: Pre-installed with iOS 26.
