Dong Nai People’s Committee has officially decided to discontinue the operations of Bien Hung Night Market, a well-known spot in Tran Bien Ward.

This decision will come into effect from February 16, 2026 (the 29th of the Lunar New Year), in alignment with the urban development plans for the area, ensuring traffic safety, environmental sanitation, and urban aesthetics.

The decision was made based on a proposal by the People’s Committee of Tran Bien Ward and the Department of Finance.

According to the Dong Nai People’s Committee, the closure of Bien Hung Night Market aims to maintain traffic order and safety, ensure food safety and environmental sanitation, and align with the urban development orientation in the Bien Hung Park area.

Bien Hung Night Market, managed by Sonadezi Environment Joint Stock Company, began operations in December 2005.

The night market currently comprises 156 stalls, offering a range of products, including souvenirs, food and beverages, and ready-to-wear clothing, spread across a 650-meter stretch along Trinh Hoai Duc Street, adjacent to Bien Hung Park.

Recently, Dong Nai province approved adjustments to the planning of Bien Hung Park, expanding its scale from 4 hectares to nearly 9 hectares.

Bien Hung Park, located in Tran Bien Ward, covers an area of approximately 4 hectares, making it the largest park in the center of Dong Nai province.

According to the recently approved Detailed Urban Planning Scheme at a scale of 1/500, the park will be expanded to nearly 9 hectares.
