On May 31st, the 8th Market Management Team (QLTT) of Gia Lam district, under the Market Management Department of Hanoi, coordinated with the Police Department for Investigation of Corruption-Economic Crimes, Smuggling, and Environment (PC03) to raid a business located within the premises of the old Yen Thuong Commune Kindergarten, Lai Hoang village, Yen Thuong commune, Gia Lam district.

The total value of the seized cosmetics amounted to VND 2.16 billion.

This location is affiliated with Ngan Korea Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Co., Ltd., headquartered at No. 2, alley 80/1, Lai Hoang village, Yen Thuong commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi.

During the inspection, authorities discovered that the facility was trading 5,400 cosmetic products without invoices or documents, identified as smuggled goods.

The goods comprised 2,520 bottles of Dr. Melaxin Peel Shot exfoliant rice ampoule (80ml/bottle, Made in Korea) and 2,880 bottles of Dr. Melaxin Peel Shot exfoliant black rice ampoule (80ml/bottle, Made in Korea).

The total value, according to the listed prices, amounted to VND 2.16 billion.

The company representative admitted that all these cosmetics were purchased informally without any legal documentation to prove their origin.

Furthermore, the company was also in violation of regulations by operating at an unregistered location. The case is currently under further investigation for appropriate handling.

In the upcoming peak season and beyond, Team 8 of the QLTT will continue to strengthen coordination with functional forces to enhance the fight against smuggling, counterfeiting, intellectual property infringement, and commercial fraud in the area.
