Luxurious minivans are trending in many markets, where buyers seek spacious alternatives to traditional sedans and SUVs. In South Korea, the Kia Carnival Hi Limousine has taken on this role. The model has just received a series of updates for 2026.
First introduced in late 2020 as the premium variant of the Carnival lineup, the Hi Limousine stands out not only for its high-end features but also for what appears to be a roof-mounted storage box. In reality, it’s an extended roof designed to increase interior height and accommodate additional amenities.

The new model retains the design and tech upgrades from the latest Carnival generation while adding new features, including a first-ever hybrid powertrain option.
Sharper Exterior – Spacious Interior
Visually, the large Kia boasts a sharper look with vertically stacked headlights, a more squared-off grille, new alloy wheels, and full-width taillights, similar to the standard model. Its signature feature remains the high-roof extension, crafted from stamped steel to enhance aerodynamics and interior space.
Buyers can choose between four, seven, or nine-seat configurations across two or three rows. The top-tier Signature four-seater offers ultimate comfort with retractable captain’s chairs, reclining backrests, and massage functions to combat fatigue. It even includes a foot massager and dedicated shoe storage.

Rear passengers enjoy a 21.5-inch roof-mounted screen with refreshed graphics, a 7-inch touchscreen control panel, wireless charging, fold-out tables, coat hangers, and a refrigerator. A new 12-speaker Bose sound system is also available.
Other 2026 upgrades include thicker floor mats with new patterns, additional stitching on pleated curtains, and memory functions for interior ambient lighting and the starry sky roof.
Comfort is Key
Critically, Kia has enhanced the ride quality of the four-seater by adding shock absorbers, softer cushions, and lowering the rear seats. These refinements build on broader suspension and soundproofing improvements introduced in the Carnival facelift.
The upgraded model offers two powertrain options: a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine producing 290 hp (216 kW / 294 PS) and a self-charging 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid delivering 242 hp (180 kW / 245 PS). These options mirror those of the standard Carnival, excluding the 2.2-liter diesel variant.

The 2026 Kia Carnival Hi Limousine is now available for order in South Korea. Pricing starts at 63.27 million KRW (45,900 USD) for the new Noblesse nine-seater with the V6 engine, rising to 97.80 million KRW (70,900 USD) for the flagship Signature four-seater hybrid. In comparison, the standard Carnival ranges from 36.36–52.11 million KRW (26,400–37,800 USD).
