Lot 7.8 encompasses the construction of the main structure, external infrastructure, and equipment installation for Cargo Terminal 1 and auxiliary facilities. The contract execution period is set at 330 days.
With a capacity to handle 550,000 tons of cargo annually, this component plays a pivotal role in air freight operations, aligning with Long Thanh’s status as Southeast Asia’s premier large-scale airport. The project ensures ACV’s operational timeline and scale while positioning Long Thanh as a regional cargo hub.
Spanning 8.4 hectares with a 30-meter height, Lot 7.8 demands advanced steel-concrete solutions and synchronized execution within 330 days, including holidays. The tight schedule and technical complexity make it a significant challenge for contractors, leading to the selection of Coteccons’ complementary consortium.
Coteccons has delivered major aviation infrastructure projects, including Tan Son Nhat Cargo Terminal, Noi Bai T2 Terminal, and recently Lot 11.5 at Long Thanh (Parking Facility, valued at over VND 3,143 billion).
Beyond aviation, Coteccons contributes to key public investment projects such as the Luong Hoa – Binh Chanh Road, Thuy Van Axis Upgrade (Vung Tau City), and Ho Chi Minh City National University.
In an interview with VTC News, Mr. Vo Hoang Lam, Deputy CEO of Coteccons, stated that public investment and infrastructure present a ‘major opportunity’ for Vietnam’s construction sector. The company identifies this segment as a strategic pillar alongside civil construction, diversifying its portfolio, ensuring sustainable revenue, and driving long-term growth.
“This is not just a business opportunity but also our contribution to national development and the realization of our $3 billion revenue and $1 billion market capitalization goals,” Mr. Lam emphasized.
The Global Infrastructure Hub estimates Vietnam requires $25 billion annually (approximately VND 659 trillion) over the next 20 years, primarily for transportation.
In Q4 FY2025, Coteccons reported consolidated revenue of VND 8,351 billion, up 27% YoY. Full-year revenue reached nearly VND 24,867 billion, a 18% increase. Gross profit rose 9% to VND 778 billion, though margins dipped slightly from 3.38% to 3.13%. Net profit surged 47% to VND 454 billion, the highest since 2020. Q4 net profit hit VND 196 billion, 2.8x YoY, with a backlog of VND 35,400 billion.
