On June 6, the Healthcare Innovation Forum 2025 was held in Hanoi, fostering a multifaceted dialogue between policymakers, regulators, local and international experts, pharmaceutical and tech companies, and healthcare providers to find the most effective solutions for improving healthcare services for the people of Vietnam, in line with the demands of a new era.
At the forum, FPT Retail’s Deputy General Director and FPT Long Châu Executive Director, Nguyen Do Quyen, participated in the third session: “Realizing the Vision of People’s Healthcare – Building a Sustainable, Equitable, and Efficient Healthcare System.”
Led by BS. ThS. Community Medicine David Duong, Director of Global Primary Care at Harvard University’s Primary Care Center, the session emphasized the critical need to ensure equitable and high-quality healthcare access for all. This includes expanding health insurance coverage, especially for children; bridging the rural-urban divide through telehealth solutions; and enhancing digital government services to promote equality in healthcare access.

FPT Long Châu, a leading pharmacy chain in the digital age, was recognized by experts at the event as a model for its integration of data and technology. As the “first point of healthcare contact” for many in the community, Long Châu pharmacies strive to serve as a bridge between the people and the national healthcare system. By integrating data into the national digital healthcare ecosystem, the company ensures compliance with legal, safety, and security regulations while improving treatment effectiveness and community health management. This aligns with the current priorities of Vietnam’s healthcare sector and the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW.
Modern pharmacy chains, such as FPT Long Châu, are not just suppliers of authentic and quality medicines but also play a crucial role in the nation’s healthcare data system. With over 2,050 outlets across 63 provinces and a team of more than 18,000 well-trained and continuously skilled pharmacists, FPT Long Châu is well-positioned to extend the reach of healthcare facilities, especially with Vietnam’s shift to a two-level local government model.
Through its extensive network and convenient search tools, Long Châu provides the community with access to authoritative and reliable healthcare information. This empowers individuals to take a proactive approach to their health, enabling early disease detection and timely treatment, thereby reducing the burden on advanced healthcare levels.
The forum highlighted two key themes: “innovation” and “data,” which are pivotal in the healthcare sector’s digital transformation journey. Data, in particular, forms the core foundation for building a modern and intelligent healthcare system.
FPT Long Châu takes pride in being the first pharmacy chain in Vietnam to integrate electronic identification through VNeID, meeting stringent technical infrastructure and information security requirements set by the Ministry of Public Security’s Department C06. This successful integration not only marks a significant step forward for Long Châu but also sets a precedent for other pharmacy chains, including private pharmacies nationwide, to swiftly integrate into the VNeID system. This advancement also supports the goal of providing every citizen with an electronic health record, containing their complete treatment history and medication record, thereby aiding healthcare professionals in making more accurate diagnoses and providing more effective monitoring and treatment.
