Indian motorcycle manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has officially launched the new Hero Destini 110 family scooter in its domestic market. The scooter is available in two variants: the VX Cast Drum with front drum brakes and the ZX Cast Disc featuring front disc brakes.

Priced at 72,000 Rs and 79,000 Rs respectively (approximately $870 and $950), these variants are competitively priced, comparable to the cost of a Honda Wave Alpha in Vietnam. This pricing strategy is expected to attract a wide range of buyers.

The Destini 110 VX Cast Drum variant offers a choice of Eternal White, Matt Steel Grey, and Nexus Blue. Meanwhile, the ZX Cast Disc variant boasts more vibrant options, including Aqua Grey, Nexus Blue, and Groovy Red. Beyond the differences in braking systems and color palettes, both variants share identical features and specifications.

In terms of dimensions, the new Hero Destini 110 measures 1,859 mm in length, 1,125 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,302 mm. The seat height is set at 770 mm, and the ground clearance is 162 mm.

The disc brake variant has a width of 703 mm, while the drum brake variant is slightly narrower at 697 mm. With a kerb weight of 114 kg, the scooter is designed for easy handling across diverse customer groups.

Design-wise, the Destini 110 closely resembles the Destini 125, featuring similar elements such as the headlamp cowl, apron, side panels, and tail section. It is equipped with LED projector headlamps and LED taillights, enhancing both visibility and modern aesthetics.

The premium look is further accentuated by metal accents and chrome detailing on the apron, side panels, and areas near the taillight. Its compact design makes it suitable for both young singles and families.

The chassis setup includes 12-inch alloy wheels paired with tubeless tires—90/90-12 at the front and 100/80-12 at the rear.

The suspension system is straightforward, featuring telescopic forks at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear, similar to the Honda Vision or LEAD. While the VX and ZX variants differ in front braking systems, both utilize drum brakes at the rear. For enhanced safety, the scooter is equipped with a Combined Braking System (CBS) as standard.

Powering the Destini 110 is a 110.9cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine shared with the Xoom 110. This engine delivers 8.15 PS of power and 8.7 Nm of peak torque. Hero claims a fuel efficiency of 56.2 km/l (approximately 1.77 l/100 km), making it one of the most fuel-efficient scooters in the 110cc segment.

The scooter has a 5.3-liter fuel tank capacity, sufficient for long rides without frequent refueling. Additionally, Hero has incorporated the i3S (Idle Stop-Start System) technology, which automatically turns off the engine when idle, significantly improving fuel efficiency. The engine restarts instantly with a twist of the throttle, offering a seamless riding experience.
