On the morning of September 24th, the Economic Police Department of Bac Ninh Provincial Police, in collaboration with Team No. 1 of the Market Management Department of Bac Ninh Province, conducted an inspection of legal compliance in production, business, and services at the business establishment of Nguyen Thi Hue BGG. The establishment is located at 76 Hung Vuong Street, Bac Giang Ward, Bac Ninh Province, and is owned by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue (born in 1991, residing in Chua Village, Thien Moc Commune, Hanoi City).

Contraband goods seized by authorities

During the inspection, the inspection team discovered 4,150 food products on display at Ms. Hue’s establishment, including 1,350 mooncakes and 2,800 wafer cakes. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue was unable to provide any invoices or related documents for these goods.

In the course of the investigation, Ms. Hue admitted that all the goods were smuggled and produced overseas. She had purchased them from unverified sources in the market to resell for profit.

The Economic Police Department of Bac Ninh Provincial Police, in coordination with Team No. 1 of the Market Management Department, drafted a report and seized all the aforementioned goods for further verification and processing in accordance with the law.

To protect consumer health and rights, the Economic Police Department continues to collaborate with relevant agencies to inspect and rigorously address violations by businesses across the province.

The Economic Police Department advises consumers to purchase products with clear origins from reputable establishments. Avoid buying cheap, low-quality goods that may compromise food safety. If you encounter organizations or individuals violating food production and business laws, promptly report them to the authorities for action.
