Recently, V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company and Viettel Post Joint Stock Company officially signed a strategic cooperation memorandum, a move that has captured the attention of investors and the market.

At the heart of this agreement is the commitment of two leading enterprises in their respective fields to jointly optimize their existing business networks to simultaneously expand two critical infrastructure types: electric vehicle charging stations and smart delivery lockers.

Under the agreement, V-Green will survey and install approximately 3,000 charging stations and battery swap cabinets for electric motorcycles at strategic locations within Viettel Post’s nationwide network. This step not only propels V-Green closer to its ambitious goal of owning 500,000 charging ports and 150,000 battery swap cabinets across the country but also addresses the longstanding challenge of securing suitable locations for infrastructure development.

In return, Viettel Post plans to deploy 2,000 Smart Box delivery lockers at suitable V-Green charging and battery swap locations. Leveraging V-Green’s extensive network of hundreds of thousands of sites, Viettel Post aims to rapidly expand its smart delivery channels to all 63 provinces and cities, optimizing last-mile delivery and enhancing customer experience.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Nguyễn Đức Vinh, Deputy General Director of V-Green, emphasized: “This collaboration not only accelerates V-Green’s infrastructure expansion but also creates a convenient and versatile ecosystem for our customers.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Đinh Thanh Sơn, Deputy General Director of Viettel Post, stated: “Partnering with V-Green is a significant step toward realizing our green transformation and digitalization strategy. Integrating charging stations and battery swap cabinets will optimize our operations and contribute to the sustainable development goals of Vietnam’s logistics sector.”

The collaboration extends beyond shared locations. Both parties aim to develop franchising models, prioritize cross-usage of services, and notably, jointly research and develop customized electric motorcycles tailored to the specific needs of postal workers and delivery personnel. This reflects a broader vision of cooperation, benefiting both parties economically while shaping a greener and more sustainable future for Vietnam’s transportation and logistics industries.
