Spanning over 42,000 m² at the intersection of Nguyen Van Huyen and To Hieu streets, Nghia Do Park is hailed as the “green gem” of Hanoi’s city center. After years of use, many facilities have deteriorated, making renovation an urgent necessity.

In February 2025, the renovation and repair project of Nghia Do Park commenced. The goal is to restore the park’s appearance, ensuring a modern and cohesive space that better serves recreational, sports, and community activities.

While the entire park is still enclosed for safety, several key features have taken shape. Newly paved walkways, landscaped flower beds, and stabilized lakeside areas are nearing completion. Most notably, a uniquely curved pedestrian bridge spanning the lake has captured public attention.

Amid the park’s lush greenery, the bridge resembles a musical instrument, standing as a striking work of art.

The bridge measures approximately 102 meters in length and 3 meters in width, with a shaped steel frame and reinforced concrete piles for stability.

Steel railings on both sides and wood-patterned plastic decking on a steel base combine modernity with warmth. Decorative LED lights along the bridge promise to create a dazzling evening attraction.

Contractors are mobilizing machinery and workers to finalize remaining tasks. Lakeside erosion is being addressed, granite steps polished, and low-lying areas leveled and raised.

The park is also receiving a unified lighting system, including solar-powered lamps in key areas. Surveillance cameras and control screens are being installed to enhance safety and convenience for visitors.

“The guitar-shaped bridge caught my eye. Once the park reopens, I’ll definitely bring my kids here—it’s perfect for exercise and photos,” shared Huynh Thanh Dat, a Cau Giay resident.

Scheduled for completion in 2025, the renovation will fully transform Nghia Do Park to better serve the community’s needs.
