The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Lt. Gen. Truong Son Lam, Chairman of MobiFone’s Board of Members, and Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman and CEO of SOVICO Group, alongside senior leaders from both organizations.

Under the agreement, MobiFone and SOVICO will leverage each other’s strengths in telecommunications, technology, finance, banking, insurance, and aviation. Key initiatives include deploying 5G for smart cities, public spaces, airports, and integrating base station infrastructure with IoT, smart cameras, and connectivity solutions. Both parties will also cross-sell products and services, develop digital transformation solutions for businesses, expand digital financial services, and co-create intelligent payment systems and content.

During the event, leaders from both sides inaugurated the Skyfi service, a flagship collaboration product, and toured showcases featuring cutting-edge technologies: SD-WAN, MobiFone Scoring, Skyfi, and SOVICO’s digital solutions.

Addressing the event, Dr. Lt. Gen. Truong Son Lam emphasized, “The partnership between SOVICO and MobiFone will create a synergistic force, combining telecommunications and digital technology infrastructure with financial and investment capabilities. It marks a significant milestone, reflecting the commitment of a Ministry of Public Security unit and a private economic group, in line with the Politburo and Government’s directives to foster private sector development and strengthen public-private partnerships in telecommunications, technology, and investment. This alliance will contribute to achieving national digital transformation goals and sustainable socio-economic development.”

MobiFone’s impressive financial performance in 2024.

According to MobiFone’s 2024 report, the company exceeded multiple targets, with pre-tax profits surpassing 20% to reach over 2 trillion VND, and state budget contributions increasing by 57%.

SOVICO Group reported a pre-tax profit of 657 billion VND in the first half of 2025, a 20.3% increase year-on-year. Shareholder equity reached nearly 70 trillion VND, with total assets at approximately 230 trillion VND. Cash and cash equivalents, including marketable securities, stood at 28.754 trillion VND as of June 30, 2025.
