In conjunction with previous breakthrough technological solutions, the “super port” aims to enhance the efficiency of the logistics system, positioning Vietnam as a strategic link in the global supply chain.

On the morning of October 1st, at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park (Hanoi), the National Innovation Day 2025 was celebrated. General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with leaders from various ministries, departments, and representatives from prominent businesses such as T&T Group led by Do Quang Hien, Marvell, and Samsung, jointly launched the event.

As part of the National Innovation Day, the ICD Vinh Phuc – Vietnam SuperPort™, a joint venture between T&T Group and YCH Group (Singapore), showcased several impressive technological experiences.

Pioneering Breakthrough Technological Solutions

Presenting to Party and Government leaders at the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2025, Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™, stated that Vietnam SuperPort™ has, is, and will continue to integrate AI-powered technologies successfully implemented at YCH Group’s Supply Chain City (SCC) in Singapore. Additionally, the “super port” is collaborating with leading global technology partners to develop AI solutions aimed at enhancing cargo handling capabilities and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam.

These innovations are groundbreaking, focusing on four key solutions: Next-generation AI for aviation operations; a logistics connectivity platform; automated cargo handling using robots; and the development of a roadmap aligned with international standards, aiming for Net Zero by 2040.

Specifically, for aviation operations, according to Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, the ICD Vinh Phuc “super port” is researching the application of an AI-based document verification system. This solution automatically extracts and verifies critical information from cargo documents in compliance with regulations, simplifying compliance processes, reducing manual effort, and significantly improving document verification accuracy.

Furthermore, Vietnam SuperPort™ is exploring the use of AI in cargo screening systems to proactively detect and alert on prohibited and hazardous goods. This solution enhances the accuracy and reliability of cargo screening systems, enabling real-time alerts, thereby improving process efficiency and reducing reliance on manual inspections.

Regarding the logistics connectivity platform, Vietnam SuperPort™ has established strategic partnerships with Vietnam Post Logistics and financial-technology partners such as Techcombank, Visa, and Doxa (Singapore) to co-develop an integrated logistics marketplace, strongly supporting Vietnamese SMEs. The platform enables comprehensive digitalization for businesses, from ordering to payment, with real-time order tracking, simplified procedures, and transparent processes. It also connects with bonded warehouses, transportation, and financial services, improving cash flow, reducing paperwork, and enhancing global trade participation capabilities.

In the field of automation, Vietnam SuperPort™ is collaborating with Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and ecosystem partners to develop AI-integrated robotic solutions for Non-Stop Air Cargo Terminals (OACT), aiming to optimize cargo handling capabilities, enhance productivity, and reduce error rates, thereby strengthening competitive advantages. Notable solutions include Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV), robotic loaders, and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR).

The ICD Vinh Phuc “super port” is also committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040, aligning with global trends, increasingly stringent legal regulations, and multinational clients’ demands for low-carbon logistics services. To realize this goal, Vietnam SuperPort™ applies rigorous carbon auditing processes using Blockchain and AI across all operations, tracking Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and develops specific roadmaps to ensure sustainable emission reduction progress. This is a crucial objective contributing to circular and sustainable economic development, positioning Vietnam SuperPort™ as a pioneer in green logistics trends in Vietnam and the region.

Continuing to Realize Major Policies on Innovation and Creativity

Vietnam SuperPort™ is the first “super port” in the ASEAN Smart Logistics Network and one of the largest logistics hubs in the North. It is a multimodal logistics port covering 83 hectares, with a total investment of nearly $300 million, located in the industrial hub of Binh Xuyen (Phu Tho Province), developed by T&Y SuperPort Vinh Phuc JSC – a joint venture between T&T Group and YCH Group (Singapore).

Situated on the Northern Economic Corridor, Vietnam SuperPort™ connects 20 industrial zones with major seaports and airports, including Hai Phong, Noi Bai, and extending to Yunnan and Kunming, China. Leveraging nearly 70 years of logistics expertise from YCH Group, Vietnam SuperPort™ benefits from connections to global supply centers across Asia, including China, India, and Southeast Asia.

Vietnam SuperPort™ is positioned as a strategic multimodal logistics hub, linking the China-Southeast Asia cargo transport network with global markets via road, rail, air, and sea. As a vital link in the ASEAN Smart Logistics Network, Vietnam SuperPort™ is designed to enhance regional integration and cross-border trade, promoting a seamless, faster, and smarter supply chain.

Continuing to advance AI applications, T&T Group’s Vietnam SuperPort™ made a strong impression at VIIE 2025.

According to the World Bank’s 2023 report, Vietnam ranks 43rd in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI), among the top 5 in ASEAN after Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and alongside the Philippines. Vietnam’s logistics sector grows at an average annual rate of 14-16%, with a scale of $40-42 billion/year, significantly contributing to the country’s total import-export turnover of $786.29 billion in 2024.

Experts suggest that to further enhance the logistics sector’s contribution to the economy, businesses should proactively develop digital transformation strategies, emphasizing the application of new technological solutions and artificial intelligence in practical operations. In Vietnam, this issue is currently receiving significant attention. According to Decision No. 200 by the Prime Minister, one of the tasks to enhance the competitiveness and development of Vietnam’s logistics services by 2025 is to “research and apply new technologies, advanced techniques, and modern technologies in supply chain management, operation, and training to achieve higher logistics service quality.”

Particularly, under Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW by the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, logistics is one of the 7 priority sectors for smart production development.

Vietnam SuperPort™’s continued introduction of modern technological solutions at VIIE 2025 reaffirms its strategic vision in digitizing logistics to build a smart, efficient, and sustainable ecosystem for Vietnam and the region.
