The automotive market in Q4/2025 is poised for a rebound after a period of sluggishness. This is also the time when car manufacturers launch their strategic products, creating an attractive wave for consumers eagerly awaiting the right moment to make a purchase.
Suzuki Fronx
After months of appearances in Vietnam, the Suzuki Fronx has finally set its official launch date for October 17th in Ho Chi Minh City. This A-segment CUV is expected to add excitement to an already fiercely competitive segment.
Since rumors emerged in April 2025, the Suzuki Fronx has been predicted to be a formidable competitor to the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Toyota Raize in the A-segment CUV category.

By May 2025, Vietnamese media had the chance to experience this model firsthand in Indonesia. Since its launch, the Fronx has been well-received by the market, recording 1,500 orders within just one month.
In the Indonesian market, the Suzuki Fronx is offered with two engine options. The GL version features a 1.5L gasoline engine paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the higher-end GX and SGX versions use a 1.5L mild-hybrid engine, coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission (6AT).

For the Vietnamese market, automatic transmission versions are considered more suitable. With Suzuki’s recent push for hybrid technology, it’s possible the Fronx will be equipped with a mild-hybrid system. Tests show this engine consumes only about 2.2 liters/100km, promising significant fuel savings.
Highlights of the Suzuki Fronx include ADAS, a 9-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a steering wheel with paddle shifters. It’s expected to be priced similarly to competitors like the Toyota Raize (510 million VND), Hyundai Venue (499 – 539 million VND), and Kia Sonet (499 – 624 million VND). Therefore, its starting price is likely to be under 500 million VND.
Volkswagen Golf
A photo of two new-generation Volkswagen Golfs in Vietnam circulating on social media suggests the launch of this model is imminent, possibly as early as October. Previously, there were rumors of a September launch, but things have remained quiet until now.

The VW Golf is positioned in the C-segment but has dimensions comparable to the B-segment. Compared to another highly regarded C-segment model in Vietnam, the Honda Civic, the German car is significantly smaller.
Based on exterior design, the two photographed VW Golfs are likely the standard and mid-range versions. The upper Golf is the standard version due to its basic exterior design, while the lower one is sportier with dual exhausts and “GTI” lettering.

The VW Golf in Vietnam will have three engine options: 1.5 eTSI (a 1.5L turbocharged mild-hybrid gasoline engine producing 148 hp and 250 Nm), a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine (187 hp, 320 Nm), and the Golf R’s 2.0L turbocharged engine (316 hp, 420 Nm), which will compete with the Civic Type R. All versions feature a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DSG).
Mercedes-Benz E-Class

According to dealerships, the 2025 E-Class will continue to be assembled domestically. It will come in three versions: E 200 Avantgarde, E 200 Exclusive, and E 300 AMG. Pricing is expected to increase slightly from current levels. Currently, the E-Class in Vietnam has three versions: E 180 (2.09 billion VND), E 200 Exclusive (2.39 billion VND), and E 300 AMG (2.95 billion VND).
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the next generation of the mid-size luxury sedan. According to dealerships, the E 300 AMG version will feature a Superscreen, even more premium than the S-Class.

The 2025 E-Class in Vietnam will likely have two engine options. The E 200 Avantgarde and E 200 Exclusive use a 2.0L I4 gasoline engine producing 204 hp and 320 Nm. The E 300 AMG still uses a 2.0L I4 gasoline engine but with higher output: 258 hp and 400 Nm. Additionally, these versions will feature a 48V battery as part of the mild-hybrid system.

Performance-wise, the Jaecoo J7 4WD Individual uses a 1.6L turbocharged gasoline engine producing 183 hp and 275 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
BYD Seal 5
Like the Suzuki Fronx, on October 17th, Vietnam will welcome another newcomer from China – the BYD Seal 5. This C-segment sedan is expected to be imported from Thailand, directly competing with the Mazda3, Honda Civic, KIA K3, and Toyota Corolla Altis.

In Thailand, the Seal 5 is priced up to 769,900 baht (approximately 638 million VND). Therefore, its Vietnamese price is likely to be around 700 million VND.
