On October 2nd, at approximately 3:30 PM, the Task Force of Market Management Team No. 2 under the Hanoi Market Management Sub-Department, in collaboration with Hoan Kiem Ward Police, detected a suspicious parked truck at 16 Ly Nam De Street.

Contraband seized by authorities

Upon inspection, authorities discovered nearly 4,000 mooncakes produced overseas inside the vehicle. The owner, Mr. P.X.M (born in 1980, residing in Ha Dong District, Hanoi), failed to provide any documentation for the mooncakes.

During questioning, Mr. P.X.M admitted to purchasing the mooncakes from unverified sources for approximately VND 19 million, intending to profit during the Mid-Autumn Festival. However, the goods were intercepted before distribution.

All confiscated goods and involved parties were transported to the headquarters of Market Management Team No. 2 for further investigation and legal processing.
