HQC Chairman Truong Anh Tuan Faces Potential Extension of Travel Ban

The Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department has issued a stern warning to Hoang Quan Land, threatening to impose travel restrictions on its executives if the company fails to settle its outstanding tax debt of over 5 billion VND within the specified timeframe.

On September 26th, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department announced plans to impose a travel ban on executives of companies with outstanding tax debts.

According to the department, as of August 31st, 2025, Hoang Quan Land Real Estate Investment Corporation owes over 5 billion VND in taxes, penalties, and late payment fees.

If Hoang Quan Land fails to settle its tax obligations within 30 days of the announcement, the tax authority will implement a travel ban on Mr. Truong Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Truong Quoc Bao, CEO and legal representative of Hoang Quan Land.

Mr. Truong Anh Tuan currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Hoang Quan Real Estate Consulting and Services Corporation (HOSE: HQC). This isn’t the first time Mr. Truong Anh Tuan has faced potential travel restrictions.

In June 2024, the Can Tho City Tax Department issued a travel ban against Mr. Truong Anh Tuan, Chairman of Hoang Quan Can Tho Real Estate Investment Corporation, due to the company’s forced tax collection of over 6.1 billion VND as of May 31st, 2024. By July 2024, the company fulfilled its tax obligations, leading the Can Tho Tax Department to lift the travel ban on Mr. Tuan.
