The Hai Duong City People’s Committee has recently issued a notice on land retrieval for the construction of a bridge over the Thai Binh River and the connecting road of the Ring Road I (from Provincial Road 391 to Provincial Road 390C).
Accordingly, the city retrieved over 17.4 hectares of land from 359 organizations and individuals in Ngoc Son and Tien Tien communes. The survey, measurement, and inventory process will commence on June 16th, followed by compensation payments as per regulations upon the issuance of the approved compensation plan by the Hai Duong City People’s Committee.

Bridge location
The project to build a bridge over the Thai Binh River and its connecting roads on Ring Road I has a total investment of over VND 1,228 billion.
In terms of scale, the bridge and its connecting roads span approximately 2.5 km. The main bridge over the Thai Binh River is over 660 meters long and 22.5 meters wide. The approach roads are divided into two sections: from Provincial Road 391 to the bridge, spanning over 400 meters, and from the bridge to Provincial Road 390C, measuring 1.4 km in length.
In addition to the bridge and roads, the project also includes the construction of intersections, drainage systems, signage, lighting, and related infrastructure.
Notably, located not far from the construction site of the bridge and its approach roads is the Ecorivers Urban Area, a project of Hai Duong Ecopark Investment Joint Stock Company, covering an area of 1.1 km2 with a total capital of VND 1,100 billion.

Overall perspective of the bridge architectural design viewed from above.
Previously, the Hai Duong Provincial People’s Committee approved the architectural design contest for the Thai Binh River Bridge. The winning design, with the code AB6789 and the name “Canh Co” (Wings of a Stork), was submitted by the Pacific Asia Consulting Engineering Company.
The architectural design draws inspiration from the image of a stork taking flight from the water, symbolizing a peaceful land where birds choose to nest.
In the future, the completion of the Thai Binh River Bridge will not only help expand the urban space and bring the city center closer to neighboring districts, but it will also play a crucial role in completing Ring Road I and boosting the local socio-economic development.
