In an effort to protect consumers’ rights and health, during a peak period of inspecting and handling smuggling, commercial fraud, counterfeiting, and intellectual property infringement, Team 9 of the Thanh Hoa Market Management Division successfully prevented a large number of counterfeit spicy sticks from being circulated in the market, primarily targeting children and students.
On June 12, Team 9 issued an administrative fine to Bao Trung Business Household, located at No. 10 Tan Nam Street, Nam Ngan Ward, Thanh Hoa City, for displaying and selling counterfeit goods; a fine of 10 million VND was imposed, and nearly 2,000 packs of counterfeit “spicy sticks Ba Tuyet” were ordered to be destroyed.

On the afternoon of June 13, under the supervision of Team 9, all the infringing goods mentioned above were destroyed in accordance with the law.

Moving forward, under the direction of the Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa Province, the Department of Industry and Trade, and the Market Management Division, Team 9 will continue to coordinate with relevant authorities to strengthen market inspection and control and resolutely punish violations, especially for food products without clear origins that pose health risks to consumers.
