Recently, a specialized motorcycle importer announced the arrival of the latest Honda SH150i scooter in Vietnam, featuring a new, exclusive color variant. These scooters, imported directly from Italy, boast a unique Matte Pearl Pacific Blue finish, described as a “rare sight in the Vietnamese market.”
In Italy, the Honda SH150i is available in seven distinct colors, with this particular blue shade standing out alongside the Vetro Green variant, which was previously introduced by the same importer.

Technically, the blue Honda SH150i shares specifications with other Italian-imported SH150i models. It’s important to note that Honda Vietnam officially distributes domestically assembled SH125i and SH160i variants.
The Italian Honda SH150i is powered by a 156.6cc engine delivering a maximum output of 12.4 kW (16.63 hp) at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 14.9 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It achieves an impressive fuel efficiency of 44.7 km/l, equivalent to 2.237L/100km.

This single-cylinder, four-stroke engine meets the stringent Euro 5+ emission standards, a significant advantage as Vietnam considers implementing Low Emission Zones (LEZ) that restrict access to high-emission vehicles.
High emission standards are a key feature, especially with Vietnam’s potential adoption of LEZ areas, where only low-emission vehicles will be permitted.

Like the SH160i available in Vietnam, the new Honda SH150i is equipped with front and rear ABS, a popular safety feature locally. ABS prevents wheel lock-up during hard braking, maintaining control—especially on slippery surfaces like wet roads or gravel.
However, unlike the official SH160i variant, the Italian-imported SH150i lacks Honda’s HSTC traction control system. While ABS manages wheel lock, HSTC prevents wheel spin by adjusting engine power to maintain road grip.
In terms of convenience, the Honda SH150i features a Smartkey system and an automatic engine idle stop function to reduce fuel consumption. According to Honda Italia, Italian models include a rear storage box, large windscreen, and handlebar guards as standard.
However, the Vietnamese import lacks these accessories, and the importer has not mentioned their inclusion. The previously imported SH150i Vetro also omitted these features, notably the Smartkey-connected storage box with remote unlocking.
In Vietnam, the SH series remains a top-tier scooter, outperforming competitors like the @, PS, and Dylan. Honda Vietnam offers the SH160i at prices ranging from 92.5 to 102.2 million VND. The private importer has not disclosed pricing for the Italian SH150i, noting that only a few units are available.
