Initially, nearly 14.6 million shares were distributed during the period from July 9 to September 22. The remaining unsold shares were further offered from September 30 to October 3, resulting in an additional 1.2 million shares being successfully placed.
In total, SJE has sold over 15.8 million shares, equivalent to 87.34% of the planned target. The company also announced the conclusion of the offering, meaning nearly 2.3 million unsold shares will be canceled.
Through this offering, SJE‘s total shares increased to 40 million, corresponding to a charter capital of 400 billion VND. In terms of ownership structure, the company has two major shareholders: Energy Vietnam Investment LLC (the parent company) holding 56.02%, and the state-owned Song Da Corporation – JSC (UPCoM: SJG) holding 10.24%, reflecting changes from the end of Q2.

With an offering price of 13,000 VND per share, the company raised nearly 206 billion VND. According to the plan, the proceeds will be invested in the company, used for purchasing shares and stakes in potential enterprises, supplementing working capital for production and business activities, and repaying bank loans and other maturing debts.
Related to the underperformance of SJE shares, recently, nearly 4.1 million shares offered by major shareholder Song Da failed to attract buyers.
As planned, SJG intended to sell its entire holding of nearly 4.1 million SJE shares (16.95% of the capital) through a single-lot public auction at UP Securities (UPSC). However, by the end of the offering on September 12, no investors registered to purchase. The failure can be partly attributed to the high offering price of 77,143 VND per share, while the stock currently trades around 18,000 VND per share.
In the stock market, SJE shares have experienced significant volatility recently. After consecutive sessions of hitting the upper limit with surging liquidity in late July, the stock entered a fluctuating phase with cooling liquidity. Compared to the beginning of 2025, SJE‘s market price has increased by nearly 19%.
