According to the official release and disclosure report dated October 3, 2025, Gemadept successfully distributed 6,302,800 GMD shares to 101 employees. The transaction was executed from October 1 to October 2, 2025.
All ESOP shares will be restricted from transfer for the first two years. In the third year, 50% of the shares will be unlocked, and the remaining 50% will be freely transferable in the fourth year. With this successful issuance, Gemadept is expected to raise over VND 63 billion to supplement its working capital.
As of June 2025, Gemadept had 1,567 employees. Among them, 101 personnel qualified to participate in this ESOP offering, including nearly all senior leaders.
Specifically, 9 key executives—Chairman Do Van Nhan, Vice Chairman Chu Duc Khang, CEO Nguyen Thanh Binh, and other board members and Deputy CEOs—collectively purchased 918,000 shares (102,000 shares per person).
Additionally, a related individual, Chu Duc Trung (Mr. Khang’s son), acquired 21,000 shares in this offering. In total, the leaders and related parties invested VND 9.39 billion in this ESOP.

This issuance drew market attention as it occurred amid notable price movements in GMD shares. GMD stock experienced a prolonged rally from late July, peaking at a three-month high of over VND 73,000 per share in mid-September.
However, after reaching this level, the stock entered a correction phase. As of October 7, GMD’s trading price hovered around VND 66,700–68,300 per share. This price is six times higher than the ESOP issuance price of VND 10,000 per share.

In terms of business context, the ESOP program was launched as Gemadept reported strong first-half 2025 results. Net revenue surged 28.6% year-on-year to VND 2,774 billion, while pre-tax profit rose 3.3% to VND 1,268.5 billion, achieving over 60% of the full-year profit target.
Alongside the ESOP issuance, Gemadept strengthened its investment activities. The Board approved the purchase of 8 million newly issued shares of ICD Nam Hai Corporation, increasing Gemadept’s total ownership to 15.8 million shares, or 79% of the charter capital. The company also appointed Deputy CEO Nguyen The Dung and Board Member Bui Thi Thu Huong as representatives for its stake in ICD Nam Hai.
