Amid soaring gold prices, reporters from *Nguoi Lao Dong* newspaper observed hundreds of people queuing at Bao Tin Minh Chau’s gold store on Cau Giay Street (Hanoi) from early morning to buy gold and conduct related transactions.
The store’s lobby and courtyard were packed with customers. Security staff frequently reminded customers to park vehicles in designated areas and queue in pre-arranged positions. By 7:30 AM, all waiting areas were fully occupied.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Hong (Tu Liem District, Hanoi) arrived at 6 AM to buy gold rings. Despite high prices, she noted that global gold prices were similarly volatile, prompting her to buy now to avoid further increases.
Store staff arrived early to register customers and issue queue numbers. Recently, many gold retailers have limited the amount of gold each customer can purchase, depending on the type.
