On the afternoon of October 9th in Hanoi, the Prime Minister chaired a conference to meet with representatives of outstanding businesses and entrepreneurs nationwide in celebration of Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13th).

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, leaders of ministries, central agencies, and 270 outstanding entrepreneurs representing the business community across the country.

At the conference, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, delivered a speech themed “Six Requests,” expressing gratitude and commitment from the private business community to the nation’s development.

Mr. Binh noted that October 13th is not only a traditional day for Vietnamese entrepreneurs but also the “birthday of the spirit of dedication and Vietnamese aspirations,” dating back to President Ho Chi Minh’s congratulatory letter to the business community in 1945.

“Therefore, I would like to speak with the spirit of six requests: three expressions of gratitude and three commitments,” said the FPT Chairman.

Specifically, the FPT leader thanked the Prime Minister and the Government for their tireless efforts in fostering the nation’s development and supporting the business community.

“I extend my gratitude to the Party, the Prime Minister, and the Government for creating an excellent business environment for companies to thrive. Today, we are fortunate to be in this hall. While we may have worked hard and achieved certain successes, these would not have been possible without the innovation, companionship, and support from the Party and the Government.

I also thank the Party and the Government for Resolution 68 – NQ/TW, which recognizes the role of private enterprises and creates conditions for entrepreneurs to develop in the future,” Mr. Binh stated.

Beyond gratitude, the FPT Chairman also made three commitments to the Government. First, for the nation to develop, it cannot be a case of “every man for himself.” Large enterprises must lead small and medium-sized businesses, working together diligently toward double-digit growth targets—not just 10%, but 20%, 25%, or even 30%—to lay the foundation for “takeoff.”

“I pledge that we will work even harder,” he emphasized.

Second, he believes a nation cannot prosper by merely “working for others” and relying on foreign technology. Quoting President Ho Chi Minh’s admonition, “Do not depend on foreign countries,” he stressed the need to master technology and pledged to “study diligently to achieve technological self-reliance.”

Finally, Mr. Binh asserted that a nation truly becomes strong when its products and services gain global trust; globalization is a shared responsibility of both large and small enterprises. “I promise to join the Prime Minister and the Government in ‘conquering the skies, reaching out to the oceans, and delving deep into the earth,'” Chairman Truong Gia Binh concluded his speech.
