Since June 23, Party committees, authorities, and city departments of Hai Phong city have started moving to the Political – Administrative Center on the north bank of Cam River, in preparation for the official operation of the new city center from July 1.

In recent days, investors and contractors have been rushing to complete and clean the final items of the two projects: the Political – Administrative Center and the Conference – Performance Center.

Currently, the construction of these projects has been completed. The interior construction of the buildings, including tiling, wall painting, gypsum board installation, and aluminum glass facade installation, is also substantially finished.

The external technical infrastructure, including greenery, lakes, miniature landscapes, squares, and parking lots, is also completed and ready to serve officials and citizens who come to work and transact.

From now until June 30, the Project Management Board will work with contractors to address any remaining issues during the construction process.

Perspective of the two projects

The Political – Administrative Center and the Conference – Performance Center project was commenced in 2023, with a total investment of approximately VND 5,000 billion from the city budget.

The Political – Administrative Center has a total investment of over VND 2,800 billion. The project consists of 14 blocks of buildings, symmetrically designed along the North-South and East-West axes, with a construction area of over 29,000 m² and a total floor area of approximately 89,500 m².

The Conference – Performance Center has a total investment of over VND 2,500 billion. The project has a scale of 3 floors, with a total floor area of nearly 50,000 m², including: a grand hall with a capacity of 1,500 seats, a multi-purpose hall with 500 seats, a round-table meeting room with 100 seats, and more than 10 small meeting rooms ranging from 20 to 100 seats. The center meets the conditions and standards to host conferences and performances on a large scale, both nationally and internationally.

Once operational, these two projects will contribute to completing the architectural landscape of the new urban area on the north bank of the Cam River in a harmonious and modern direction. At the same time, they will enhance administrative management efficiency, thereby better serving citizens and businesses.
