Notably, the Semi-Public College of Technology and Business Administration will transition from a semi-public to a fully public institution with financial autonomy.

Additionally, HCMC plans to establish two new colleges: the HCMC High-Tech Agriculture College, formed by merging the HCMC Intermediate School of Agricultural Technology, the Intermediate School of Agriculture and Forestry, and the High-Tech Agricultural Vocational Education Center; and the Saigontourist College of Tourism and Hospitality, upgraded from the Saigontourist Intermediate School of Tourism and Hospitality.
If the draft is approved, all mergers and reorganizations are expected to be completed by November 30.
