Expanding into four key sectors—Industrial Manufacturing, Technology Development, Education and Training, and Healthcare—Phenikaa Group has solidified its ecosystem, marking a robust advancement in both scale and operational capabilities. Beyond mere growth, this journey embodies the realization of a commitment to become a “Happy Corporation,” radiating positive values to the community and contributing to the shared goal of building a happy, civilized, and prosperous Vietnam.

A Journey Rooted in Vietnamese Resilience and Intellect

Beginning in industrial manufacturing, Phenikaa made its mark with VICOSTONE®, a Vietnamese quartz surface brand now present in over 50 countries with more than 10,000 distributors/partners worldwide. After multiple restructurings and overcoming challenges, a pivotal moment arrived in 2014 when VICOSTONE® joined Phenikaa Group, ushering in a period of explosive growth and establishing its international stature. Leveraging strong financial resources, a high-caliber workforce, and exceptional R&D and market development capabilities, Phenikaa consistently introduces unique products that set global interior design trends. By expanding its direct distribution network under the VICOSTONE® brand in key markets like the U.S., Canada, and Australia, the company inspires millions of households worldwide with spaces filled with creativity and positive energy. In 2020, VICOSTONE® rose to become one of the top three premium quartz manufacturers globally (as independently assessed by Freedonia, USA), placing Vietnam on the world map of engineered stone—a proud testament to Vietnamese intellect and resilience.

With a sustainable development strategy, significant investment, and a focus on innovation, the Group has mastered 95% of raw material inputs for quartz surface manufacturing. Notable achievements include Phenikaa Chemical Plant, which produces unsaturated polyester resin using a “Made-in-Vietnam” production line designed and operated by the Group’s own team; Cristobalite Plant (Phenikaa Hue), ranked among the top two globally in capacity and quality; and Bio Quartz Plant, utilizing advanced technology from Breton (Italy). Success in localizing raw material production not only enhances Phenikaa’s competitive edge but also integrates the Group into the global eco-material value chain, opening new, high-potential business avenues. This forms a solid foundation for further refining and strengthening the Group’s multi-sector ecosystem.

Developing a Multi-Sector Ecosystem Through Innovation and Service

Success in industrial manufacturing has provided a strong foundation for Phenikaa to expand into technology development, education, and healthcare, forming a multi-sector ecosystem driven by innovation and a spirit of service.

Entering Education and Training to Cultivate High-Quality Human Resources and Drive Innovation

In 2017, the Group took over Thanh Tay University (now Phenikaa University), officially entering the education sector with a mission to strengthen the nation by training high-quality human resources. After just over six years of restructuring, the institution has achieved remarkable growth in scale and capacity, earning approval from the Prime Minister to transition from a university to a university system—becoming Vietnam’s 10th university system. From an initial intake of 300 students in 2019, the university now educates approximately 35,000 students across over 100 undergraduate and postgraduate programs, focusing on high-demand fields aligned with national strategies. With a faculty of highly qualified scholars (nearly 20% holding professorships, and nearly 60% with doctoral degrees), and a comprehensive focus on research and innovation, Phenikaa has published over 2,600 international articles, secured 150 patents/utility solutions, and consistently ranked in prestigious global indices (Nature Index, SCIMAGO, RePEc, IPStar). It has also established nine spin-off/start-up companies from research projects.

Transitioning from a university to a university system, Phenikaa University reaffirms its commitment to training high-quality human resources, driving innovation, and serving the nation.

Guided by a vision to build an international-standard Phenikaa Education System that fosters innovation, the Group established Phenikaa School in 2021. The school aims to nurture a generation of Vietnamese youth who are humane, creative, and equipped with strong academic foundations, language skills, and technological proficiency. Emphasizing holistic development in Humanities, Intelligence, Physical Education, and Arts, the school prepares students to become global citizens. In just over three years, Phenikaa School has established itself as a happy, innovative learning environment, offering STEM/STEAM-focused education to nearly 1,700 students, with teachers and students achieving notable successes. In the 2024–2025 academic year alone, students won nearly 900 awards, including 27 prestigious international accolades.

By integrating education, scientific research, and innovation within the Group’s multi-sector ecosystem, the Phenikaa Education System serves as an incubator for creative ideas and a launchpad for start-ups/spin-offs. It nurtures a generation of Vietnamese youth who are resilient, confident, and ready to integrate globally, creating breakthrough values and contributing to the nation’s development in an era of advancement.

Investing in Technology Development for Breakthrough Growth

Recognizing digital transformation and smart technology as essential drivers of pioneering and breakthrough growth, Phenikaa accelerated its investment in technology in 2020, establishing Phenikaa-X and several new tech companies. Guided by Vietnam’s 11 strategic technology groups, the Group focuses on mastering core technologies in critical areas, including: Semiconductor Technology (chip design and manufacturing); Autonomous Technology (developing unmanned platforms for multi-purpose use, such as self-driving taxis, buses, drones, and delivery robots); Energy Storage Technology (developing and applying solid-state electrolytes for solid-state lithium batteries); Biomedical Technology (building a precision and regenerative medicine ecosystem for public health, with a focus on genetics and cell technology); and Advanced Materials Technology. Currently, the Group operates eight tech companies, with Phenikaa-X valued at over $100 million and attracting international investment. Many products developed by the Group’s Vietnamese experts and engineers have been effectively applied in daily life and business, integrating into global supply chains. Notable examples include the AMR Pallet Mover robot used in Samsung Electronics factories and receptionist robots in hospitals and public administrative centers. These achievements underscore Phenikaa’s innovative capabilities, competitive advantages, and international standing.

Entering Healthcare with a Commitment to Quality and Happiness

2024 marks a significant milestone in Phenikaa Group’s journey to complete its ecosystem with a comprehensive investment in healthcare, aiming to fulfill its commitment to quality and happiness for the community. Leveraging its strengths in training healthcare professionals and scientific research, the Group has established the Phenikaa Healthcare Ecosystem—a comprehensive model in Vietnam comprising four pillars: Healthcare Services; Pharmaceutical Production; Technology and Transfer; and Education and Training. These interconnected components form a cohesive value chain, spanning training, research, validation, production, and application, including:

The PhenikaaMec Academic Healthcare System, featuring PhenikaaMec hospitals and clinics, with Phenikaa University Hospital as a multidisciplinary facility housing 28 specialized centers and departments, nearly 700 beds, and a daily capacity of over 1,500 outpatient visits, licensed by the Ministry of Health in late 2024;

Phenikaa Pharmaceutical Plant, meeting WHO-GMP and EU-GMP standards;

A Bioequivalence Center;

Research and Development Centers in Medicine and Pharmacy;

Phenikaa School of Medicine and Pharmacy/Phenikaa University…

Phenikaa Group invests in healthcare with a mission to serve the community and society.

With a sustainable development strategy and a commitment to community service, Phenikaa is steadily establishing its position across all sectors, delivering exceptional products and services while creating sustainable value for customers, partners, employees, and society.

A Sustainable, Interconnected Ecosystem Radiating Humanistic Values

Over 15 years of development across four core sectors—Industrial Manufacturing, Technology Development, Education and Training, and Healthcare—have laid a solid foundation for the Phenikaa Ecosystem. These sectors are tightly interconnected, mutually reinforcing, and sharing values through linkages between training, research, innovation, and production to optimize efficiency and strengthen internal capabilities. Innovation serves as the unifying force, connecting all ecosystem members and driving sustainable growth and intellectual identity, delivering tangible benefits to society. This distinctiveness and drive are central to the Group’s proactive, breakthrough, and sustainable development strategy.
