Digital Transformation Awards 2025: Launchpad for Viettel Software in the Digital Age

Amid projections that Vietnam's digital economy will soar to $45 billion by 2025 (as reported by the Digital Transformation Portal under the Ministry of Justice/Ministry of Science and Technology), a Vietnamese tech enterprise clinching the Vietnam Digital Awards (VDA 2025) transcends individual achievement. It stands as a testament to the dynamism and potential of "Make in Vietnam" technology on the global stage.

From National Awards to Long-Term Economic Strategies

On October 8, 2025, Viettel Software was honored in the category of “Outstanding Digital Technology Products, Services, and Solutions” for its “Large-Scale Custom Software Development Services.” The award was organized in the spirit of Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, and as part of the activities celebrating National Digital Transformation Day on October 10.

According to industry experts, Viettel Software’s recognition in this category not only demonstrates its technological capabilities but also underscores the growth of Vietnam’s software industry. It highlights that domestic enterprises are now capable of designing, implementing, and operating large-scale systems for critical sectors.

Competitive Edge: Industry-Specific Design and Rapid Deployment

Viettel Software is one of the few domestic companies that can manage the entire software development value chain, from surveys, consulting, and design to maintenance and operation. Its unique strength lies in its ability to design industry-specific solutions, reducing deployment time and transition costs for partners. Flagship projects such as OSS for Viettel Network, Viettel Money, V-Office, and MOPLUS for Vietnam Airlines not only showcase technical expertise but also the team’s deep understanding of business operations. This has made Viettel Software a trusted partner for major corporations in finance, telecommunications, and aviation—sectors demanding high security, availability, and stability.

Viettel Software developed iSpectra, the world’s first system that transforms BTS stations into frequency monitoring sensors, enabling fast and accurate interference detection. This solution was implemented in collaboration with the Radio Frequency Department and other telecom operators.

Deputy Director Tran Van Bang shared, “Each client is a unique ecosystem. Our biggest challenge isn’t technology, but deeply understanding industry processes, data, and specifics to turn technology into tangible economic value.”

Impact on Brand Value and International Market Share

Brand experts believe that the VDA 2025 award will strengthen Viettel Software’s reputation and enhance its competitiveness in the international market, particularly for large-scale technology contracts. As Vietnam accelerates digital service exports, companies with national certifications like VDA will more easily engage global partners, similar to how South Korean and Singaporean tech firms used domestic awards to expand internationally. Mr. Bang emphasized, “This award not only elevates Viettel Software’s brand but also opens collaboration opportunities with corporations in ASEAN and the Asia-Pacific region, where demand for enterprise and e-government digital transformation is strong.” The award is expected to boost confidence, helping the company expand international partnerships and deepen its role in the global software supply chain.

With a vision to build global digital infrastructure, Viettel Software partners with Japan to drive digital transformation in the Kansai region.

From Technological Capability to National Brand Strategy

Beyond being a technology company, Viettel Software plays a pivotal role in Vietnam’s software industry development strategy, a pillar of the national digital transformation agenda. By developing “Make in Vietnam” platforms scalable for international deployment, Viettel Software is realizing the goal of positioning Vietnam as a global digital solutions provider, rather than just a technology consumer. Simultaneously, investments in AI, Cloud, Big Data, and cybersecurity enhance the company’s technological value, enabling Vietnamese brands to compete globally on equal terms.

A young, dynamic, and highly skilled workforce is the driving force behind Viettel Software’s leadership in global digital transformation.

The VDA 2025 award is more than recognition for a specific product or project; it is a “brand asset”—an intangible resource that builds trust with partners, investors, and customers. In an era where technological reputation is a critical competitive factor, a Vietnamese company winning a national-level award signifies that Vietnamese tech brands are capable of leading, not just following.
