According to a report by Dân Trí, on June 23, the Hanoi Police announced that the Investigative Police Agency had decided to prosecute Vũ Nam Phương (commonly known as Vũ Hồng Phúc “Cún Bông”), her husband Nguyễn Nam Thắng, and their accountant Chu Thị Mỹ Nhung for “Violation of accounting regulations, causing serious consequences.”

Hà Nội Mới newspaper reported that, since the beginning of 2025, the Hanoi Police had discovered that Vũ Nam Phương (born in 1987 and residing in Phố Huế Ward, Hai Bà Trưng District), also known as Vũ Hồng Phúc “Cún Bông,” was a KOLs (Key Opinion Leader) with a significant online presence, including over 300,000 followers on Facebook, 500,000 on TikTok, and 72,000 on Instagram. She was suspected of violating business laws through her large-scale sales of fruits and dietary supplements at VHP Store (located at 29 Trần Hưng Đạo, Hoàn Kiếm District) and through e-commerce platforms and social media channels, including a Facebook page named “VHP Premium” and her personal account under the name Vũ Hồng Phúc.
The police identified that Nguyễn Nam Thắng (born in 1995 and living at 312 Phố Huế, Phố Huế Ward, Hai Bà Trưng District), Vũ Nam Phương’s husband, had established the American Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (MST: 0108014583, address: 6th floor, 312 Phố Huế, Phố Huế Ward, Hai Ba Trung District) around 2017.

From 2023 onwards, Phương and Thắng opened the VHP Store at the above address and operated their business through e-commerce platforms and social media under the legal entity of the American Pharmaceutical Joint-Stock Company. They also hired Chu Thị Mỹ Nhung (born in 1985 and living in Thanh Lương Ward, Hai Bà Trưng District) as their accountant.
However, during their operation from 2023 until now, Phương and Thắng instructed Nhung to declare a revenue of just over 5 billion VND to the authorities. In contrast, the Investigative Police Agency of Hanoi has initially clarified that their actual revenue was more than 120 billion VND, causing a tax loss of over 10 billion VND for the state budget (the Hanoi Police are continuing to verify the transaction of over 500 billion VND through Vũ Nam Phương’s account).

On June 17 and 18, 2025, the Investigative Police Agency of Hanoi coordinated with Tax Area I and the People’s Procuracy of Hanoi to execute an urgent inspection at the residence and workplace of the subjects, seizing many documents and electronic devices related to the crime.
On June 22, 2025, the Investigative Police Agency decided to initiate a lawsuit and prosecute Vũ Nam Phương, Nguyễn Nam Thắng, and Chu Thị Mỹ Nhung for “Violation of accounting regulations, causing serious consequences.” The investigation agency is continuing to expand the investigation to clarify the case’s contents and related subjects for strict handling according to the law.
