On October 13th, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People’s Committee, Le Quang Nam, signed a decision approving the investment policy for a social housing project in the Hoa Minh Apartment Area.

The project, developed by Hanoi Sunrise Investment Development JSC, will be located on Tran Anh Tong Street.

According to the plan, the project covers a total land area of approximately 7,770 m², with a construction floor area of around 81,324 m². It will feature 20 above-ground floors and 2 basement levels, providing approximately 933 apartments. The total investment capital for the project exceeds 1.317 trillion VND, with a 50-year implementation period from the date of land allocation or lease.

Hoa Minh Apartments have severely deteriorated over time.

Hoa Minh Apartments are among the most dilapidated “slum-like” residential complexes in Da Nang City.

Regarding resettlement, on June 19th, the Da Nang City People’s Committee approved a support plan for households required to relocate from the Hoa Minh Apartment Area.

The apartment complex is located on Kinh Duong Vuong Street, between Lam Quang Thu and Tran Anh Tong Streets.

Households currently renting public housing here can choose to continue renting social housing from public assets within the city or nearby areas, or receive support to purchase social housing units funded by non-budget sources in ongoing projects across the city.

For residents opting to purchase units in the 10 Trinh Cong Son apartment building or the new project at Hoa Minh Apartment Area, the city will provide temporary accommodation. If no housing is available, residents will receive 50% support for rental costs during the construction of the new apartments.

Constructed between 2001 and 2002, Hoa Minh Apartment Area consists of 8 blocks, each with 3 floors, totaling 288 apartments. These were originally allocated to households displaced for urban renewal purposes.
