The energization of this project marks a significant milestone for EVNNPT, celebrating the success of the 1st National Congress of the Government Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, held on October 12-13, 2025.

Prior to this, on October 7, 2025, the Investor’s Acceptance Council, chaired by EVNNPT’s Deputy General Director Hoàng Văn Tuyên, unanimously approved the project’s energization.

The Gia Lộc 220kV Substation and its connecting transmission line project is led by EVNNPT as the investor, with the Northern Power Projects Management Board overseeing project management and Power Transmission Company 1 responsible for operation.

Classified as a Group B, Level I industrial energy project, the Gia Lộc 220kV Substation is located in Gia Khánh Commune, Gia Lộc District, formerly in Hải Dương Province, now part of Hải Phòng City. The transmission line spans Gia Lộc Commune, Gia Phúc Commune, and Thạch Khôi Ward in Hải Phòng City.

The project includes the construction of the Gia Lộc 220/110/22kV Substation, designed for three 220/110/22 kV-250 MVA transformers. In this phase, two 220/110/22kV-250MVA transformers are installed.

The 220kV section features a 16-bay design with a double busbar and busbar ring configuration. This phase equips 8 bays, with provisions for 8 additional bays.

The 110kV section includes a 24-bay design with a segmented double busbar and busbar ring. This phase equips 14 bays, with provisions for 10 additional bays. The 35kV side connects to the local grid for auxiliary power supply.

The control, protection, measurement, communication, and SCADA systems comply with EVN and EVNNPT regulations, adhering to electrical equipment standards and current guidelines.

The transmission line segment involves constructing a four-circuit 220kV line from the Gia Lộc 220kV Substation, connecting to the Hải Dương – Phố Nối 220kV line over two circuits, spanning approximately 5.37 km.

The project faced challenges due to frequent rain and storms in the region, coupled with labor shortages as contractors were diverted to other critical power projects. However, with close supervision from EVN, EVNNPT, NPMB, and dedicated efforts from contractors, the project was successfully completed in the final stretch.

Upon completion, the project will ensure a stable power supply for Hải Phòng City, supporting its economic and social development. It will also reduce the load on existing 220/110 kV transformers in the region, enhancing the N-1 reliability criterion and improving the safety and reliability of the regional power grid.
