Delegates inaugurate the project on October 15th.
According to the developer, the Tam Ky riverside embankment and landscape road project, along with the resettlement area, was approved by the former Tam Ky City People’s Committee in June 2023, with a total investment of nearly VND 500 billion. The riverbank embankment and adjacent road account for approximately VND 95 billion of this budget.
Specifically, the project will construct a new 971-meter-long embankment along the Tam Ky River, utilizing a robust reinforced concrete sheet pile structure. The embankment’s crest will feature a pedestrian walkway, BTXM panel-clad slopes, and a lush green landscape system.
Additionally, the project includes 812 meters of roads, along with integrated electrical, lighting, drainage, and greenery systems. Construction is expected to take 240 days.
The northern bank of the Tam Ky River, stretching from Tam Ngoc Commune to the former An Son Ward (now part of Huong Tra Ward, Da Nang City), has long suffered severe erosion due to heavy rainfall and flooding, endangering residents’ lives, property, and agricultural land. The 2024 flood exacerbated the erosion, making the situation critical.
This project is anticipated to transform the southern area of Da Nang City. Beyond reinforcing the riverbank and ensuring public safety, it will establish a 13.5-meter-wide road, enhancing infrastructure connectivity and boosting commerce, tourism, and services. The resettlement area will also be equipped with comprehensive technical infrastructure, fostering a stable and modern living environment.
Furthermore, the project will contribute to the development of parks, plazas, boat docks, and green spaces along National Highway 40B, creating vibrant community areas and new scenic highlights.
This initiative serves as a celebratory project for the successful 1st Congress of the Da Nang City Party Committee (2025-2030 term). Other notable projects include: the main drainage line from the downstream of the High-Tech Park drainage channel to the Hoa Lien Commune flood drainage channel (VND 817 billion, commenced on July 30, 2025); the northern and northeastern urban roads in the former Tay Giang District Administrative Center and the urban roads in the former Nam Giang District Administrative Center (VND 320 billion each, expected completion in September 2025); and the resettlement area for the North-South high-speed railway project in Dien Ban Bac Ward (commenced on August 19, 2025).
The Da Nang City People’s Committee also announced that two additional major projects will break ground in October 2025: the Hung Vuong Road and the Trưng Nữ Vương Street drainage system.
Investment Opportunity: August 2025 – Five Urban Developments with a Capital Investment of Nearly 30.2 Trillion VND
In August 2025, five provinces attracted investment with seven projects, totaling nearly VND 31.3 trillion. Notably, Quang Ngai province sought investment for three urban areas, with a total investment of approximately USD 1 billion.
How will the future planning of Da Nang airport be like?
On March 5th, Da Nang People’s Committee announced that they have just approved the master plan for the airport subdivision – at a 1/2000 scale. The airport subdivision is divided into two main areas: the urban construction area and the Da Nang International Airport area. It is organized into 4 development zones, each with 4 units.
