This milestone marks a significant advancement, solidifying Eximbank’s growing prominence in the regional financial market.

The Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA), an esteemed annual event established in 2007 by Enterprise Asia—a leading non-governmental business organization in Asia—is held across over 16 countries and territories. It honors outstanding enterprises and entrepreneurs for their excellence in governance, innovation, sustainable development, and community contributions.

Under the theme “Showcasing Future-Ready Enterprises,” APEA 2025 focuses on recognizing organizations with exceptional adaptability and strategic vision. Eximbank impressed the judging panel with its comprehensive development strategy, transparent governance, and remarkable growth in recent years.

Over the past three years, Eximbank has implemented a series of strategic initiatives: restructuring its loan portfolio for safety and efficiency, focusing on individual and SME customers; diversifying non-credit revenue streams, particularly in international payments and foreign exchange—its traditional strengths; and standardizing and optimizing operational processes with advanced technology to enhance efficiency.

A key highlight of Eximbank’s strategy is its comprehensive digital transformation. The bank has launched Eximbank EDigi for individual customers and Eximbank EBiz for corporate clients, implemented the CRM/ESale+ and Way4 card core systems, and expanded modern payment methods such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and cross-border QR payments. Additionally, Eximbank leverages cutting-edge technologies like AI, GenAI, RPA, and cloud computing to optimize operations, reduce costs, and enhance security. These advancements not only improve customer experience but also strengthen competitiveness and lay the foundation for sustainable growth.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyễn Hồ Hoàng Vũ, Deputy CEO of Eximbank, emphasized, “Being honored in both prestigious categories at APEA 2025 is a well-deserved recognition of Eximbank’s relentless efforts over the years. This achievement stems from our long-term development strategy, customer support, and the dedication of our entire workforce. It will motivate us to accelerate growth, enhance customer experience, and create sustainable value for the community.”

Beyond business growth, Eximbank prioritizes risk management, transparency, and sustainable development. The bank employs a “three lines of defense” model for risk control, implements ESG initiatives such as paperless digital banking, eKYC, green business financing, and collaborates with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on sustainable finance. It also maintains a transparent internal governance framework.

The success at APEA 2025 extends Eximbank’s impressive year-long achievements, including prestigious awards like Sao Khuê 2025, Outstanding Technology & Digital Transformation Product 2025, Top 50 Most Effective Companies in Vietnam 2025, Vietnam Strong Brand – Top 10 Innovative Brands 2025, and international payment quality awards from Citibank and J.P. Morgan. These accomplishments underscore Eximbank’s long-term strategy, reinforcing its reputation and market position.

Consecutive domestic and international accolades not only strengthen Eximbank’s brand but also expand global partnership opportunities. The two major APEA 2025 awards affirm the bank’s commitment to “Transformation – Reaching New Heights”: continuous innovation, service quality enhancement, and positive contributions to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s financial and banking sector.
