Luxury Counterfeit Jewelry Scandal: Gia Lai Gold Shop Faces Hefty Fine for Selling Fake Chanel Accessories

The Market Management Department of Gia Lai Province has fined a jewelry shop in Bong Son Ward 55 million VND for selling counterfeit Chanel jewelry.

On October 15, the Gia Lai Market Management Department announced a VND 55 million fine against T.T. Gold Shop LLC (located in Bong Son Ward, Gia Lai Province) for trading counterfeit branded goods.

Market Management Team No. 1 of Gia Lai Province conducts a surprise inspection at T.T. Gold Shop.

Previously, on September 30, Market Management Team No. 1 conducted a surprise inspection at T.T. Gold Shop in Zone 6, Bong Son Ward.

During the inspection, authorities discovered the shop was displaying multiple gold-colored jewelry items bearing the Chanel brand, with a total value of nearly VND 36 million.

The Market Management Team seized all suspected counterfeit goods and collaborated with Chanel’s brand representatives in Vietnam for authentication. The results confirmed that these products were counterfeit Chanel items.

In addition to the administrative fine, T.T. Gold Shop was ordered to destroy all infringing goods and cease activities violating intellectual property rights.
