Three major projects were discussed: the route from Thai Binh Ward to Pho Hien Ward; the route connecting the old Thai Binh City to Nghin Bridge; and the axis roads linking functional areas within the Thai Binh Economic Zone.

According to the report, the Thai Binh – Pho Hien route project is currently in Phase 1, spanning from the National Highway 10 intersection (Thai Binh Ward) to the Dong Tu intersection (Hung Ha Commune), covering nearly 25 km. Localities along the route have essentially completed agricultural land surveys and are expediting land clearance, aiming to finalize agricultural land by November 2025 and hand over the entire cleared site by April 2026.

The investor, along with Land Fund Development Center No. 2 and related units, is coordinating surveys, relocating technical infrastructure, and preparing conditions to commence the project by the end of October 2025.

For the Thai Binh (old) – Nghin Bridge project, land clearance was completed in early August. After receiving the cleared site, contractors are focusing on road foundation construction, weak soil treatment, and drainage system completion. Key components, such as the drainage culvert from Km2+500 to Km3+500, have been finished; the road foundation from National Highway 39 to the end of the route is being loaded to ensure progress and public investment capital disbursement plans.

Meanwhile, the axis road project connecting the Thai Binh Economic Zone has shown promising progress. Several bidding packages exceed the plan: Route No. 1 has reached approximately 65% of the contract value, Route No. 2 has reached 80%, and Routes 3, 4, and 5 are urgently clearing the remaining areas to complete synchronized infrastructure.

In his concluding remarks, Vice Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial People’s Committee Lai Van Hoan commended the efforts of the units and urged acceleration of critical stages to ensure progress and quality.

He emphasized that for the Thai Binh – Pho Hien route, localities must focus intensely on compensation, resettlement, and early land fund preparation, along with infrastructure relocation plans, to avoid issues similar to those in the CT.08 project.

For the axis roads within the Economic Zone, he instructed Binh Dinh, Nam Tien Hai, and Hung Phu communes to collaborate closely and flexibly address emerging issues; relevant departments and agencies should provide timely support to resolve difficulties.

Specifically for the Thai Binh (old) – Nghin Bridge route, provincial leaders directed the Project Management Unit for Investment and Construction No. 2 and contractors to enhance on-site inspections, ensuring quality, progress, and investment efficiency, with the goal of soon putting these strategic transport routes into service for the province’s socio-economic development.
