Vietravel Airlines’ new Airbus A321, with the registration number VN-A129, has a capacity of 228 seats and is expected to commence operations in early July 2025. This popular narrow-body aircraft is known for its high operational efficiency and fuel economy, making it suitable for both domestic trunk routes and short to medium-haul international flights.

In July, Vietravel Airlines will add two more Airbus A320 aircraft to its fleet, completing its plan to enhance its fleet with modern, flexible, and efficient aircraft. The airline will increase flight frequencies connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, and Quy Nhon, both domestically and internationally, catering to the rebounding tourism and business demands.

According to Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Chairman of Vietravel Airlines, the acquisition of the Airbus A321 is a significant step towards realizing the strategy of modernizing the fleet and a testament to the airline’s financial strength and operational capabilities. It also demonstrates Vietravel Airlines’ strong determination to develop sustainably and establish itself as a unique and trusted airline in the market.

“The ownership of the first Airbus A321 is not only important for Vietravel Airlines but also showcases the aspirations of Vietnam’s private aviation sector, which is gradually asserting its role in fostering economic growth,” shared Mr. Do Vinh Quang.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ho Minh Tan, Vice Director of the Vietnam Aviation Authority, affirmed that the acquisition of the first Airbus A321 by Vietravel Airlines fulfilled T&T Group’s commitment to the airline’s growth. The addition of owned aircraft to the fleet will grant the airline more autonomy in its operations and provide significant momentum for its future development strategies.

“I believe that with the support and partnership of the strategic shareholder, T&T Group, Vietravel Airlines will achieve impressive growth, bringing tangible values and benefits to customers and contributing to the advancement of Vietnam’s aviation industry,” emphasized Mr. Ho Minh Tan.

Vietravel Airlines is also actively negotiating with leading aircraft manufacturers and airlines worldwide to establish comprehensive strategic partnerships in the aviation industry. These collaborations aim to enhance the airline’s technological capabilities, operational standards, and international influence.

Notably, to realize its growth targets, Vietravel Airlines has approved a plan to increase its charter capital to VND 2,600 billion. This strategic decision aims to strengthen the airline’s financial capacity to accommodate the upcoming expansion of its fleet and operations. It will also facilitate investments in modern technical infrastructure, advanced technology systems, and, most importantly, the development of high-quality human resources to ensure sustainable and efficient growth. Moreover, the capital increase ensures robust solvency, maintains healthy financial indicators, and continually enhances the airline’s reputation with strategic partners, suppliers, and domestic and international credit institutions.
