The latest generation of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (LC250) was launched in Vietnam in October 2024, instantly capturing the attention of domestic customers.
Its popularity was so immense that consumers were willing to pay an additional hundreds of millions of VND to secure an early delivery. A sales consultant from an authorized dealership even revealed that during the period from December 2024 to March 2025, buyers had to accept a “side payment” of 300-500 million VND to get the vehicle.

However, this situation didn’t last long and ceased by the second quarter of 2025. Conversely, the LC250 is now being offered with promotions by dealerships. According to an authorized Toyota dealer in Hanoi, buyers of the LC250 during this period will receive a complimentary one-year body insurance package worth approximately 35 million VND.
Meanwhile, many private showrooms are offering the LC250 with a 50 million VND cash discount. As a result, the actual selling price of the Land Cruiser Prado has dropped from 3.48 billion VND to just 3.43 billion VND at private showrooms.
All vehicles from both authorized dealers and private showrooms are advertised as 100% new. Information also indicates that the remaining stock is limited, primarily consisting of black and white colors.

Industry insiders attribute this shift to the decline in customer demand for the Land Cruiser Prado since the end of the second quarter of 2025, which is no longer as high as it was in late 2024 and early 2025.
According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA), the sales of the Land Cruiser Prado are showing a slight decline in the third quarter of 2025. VAMA’s data reveals that from the beginning of the year, the model achieved good sales in March and April 2025, with 80 and 76 units sold, respectively. However, in the last three months, the figures were 53, 57, and 56 units. In total, 481 units were sold nationwide in the first three quarters of 2025.

The 2024-2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado marks the fifth generation of this SUV. The 2024 model is entirely different from its predecessor, featuring a boxy design. In Vietnam, it is offered with a vertical slat grille and rectangular LED headlights. In some international markets, the SUV also comes with round headlights and a mesh grille.
The steering wheel has a classic design, with the word “Toyota” in the center instead of the usual logo. This model comes with a heated steering wheel and HUD. Behind the wheel is a large 12.3-inch electronic screen serving as the speedometer.

The 12.3-inch center infotainment screen supports wireless smartphone connectivity. It boasts sharp display quality and responsive performance. The standard audio system on the Prado features 14 JBL speakers.
The Land Cruiser Prado in Vietnam is equipped with a 2.4L turbocharged gasoline engine, delivering 267 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. It features a full-time 4WD system and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
