The Tam Thang Tower stands as the centerpiece of the eponymous square on Thuy Van Street in Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City. Funded by Sun Group, this 155 billion VND project showcases both international sophistication and local cultural heritage through its design by renowned European architect Oliviero Godi.

Inspired by the powerful image of three ship prows reaching skyward, the tower symbolizes the historical legacy of Thang Nhat, Thang Nhi, and Thang Tam—three villages tasked with safeguarding the coastal region since the reign of King Gia Long.

Comprising 143 columns ranging from 4.5 to over 34 meters in height, the structure ascends gradually toward the sea. Crafted from reinforced concrete and clad in mosaic ceramic tiles, these columns reflect light brilliantly, especially when illuminated by multicolored LED lights at night.

Weighing thousands of tons collectively, the tallest column alone tips the scales at 104 tons. Remarkably, the vertical deviation is less than 5 mm, a testament to the precision of its construction.

Adjacent to the tower, the 1.7-hectare Tam Thang Square offers amenities such as a musical fountain, scenic viewpoints, and a café, enhancing the area’s appeal as a public gathering space.

Completed in just 75 days and inaugurated on September 2nd, the tower’s rapid construction is considered a remarkable feat. It has quickly become a beloved landmark for locals and a must-visit check-in spot for tourists.

Thuy Van Street has also undergone a 1.1 trillion VND revitalization project, initiated in late October 2024. This 3.2-kilometer coastal road, lined with new parks and seaside walkways, now offers unobstructed ocean views, replacing former makeshift stalls and parking lots.

Thousands of newly planted trees and dynamic seasonal lighting systems transform Thuy Van into a vibrant spectacle at night, enhancing Vung Tau’s image as a lively and professional tourist destination.

Bai Sau Beach, now the city’s most integrated tourism area, features spacious sidewalks, restful seating, and ocean-aligned steps, offering visitors a modern, nature-immersed experience.

These developments have solidified Thuy Van Street’s status as Vung Tau’s most valuable real estate corridor. Land prices now range from 150 to 180 million VND per square meter, up 20-25% year-over-year, while hotel room rates and weekend bookings have surged by 10-15%.

Together, these enhancements have not only elevated Vung Tau’s aesthetic appeal but also bolstered its economic vitality, making it a premier destination for both leisure and investment.

The seamless integration of landscape and lighting design has transformed Vung Tau into a dynamic and professional destination, captivating visitors with its modern charm and natural beauty.

With its revitalized coastline and iconic landmarks, Vung Tau continues to thrive as a top-tier tourist hub, offering unparalleled experiences that blend cultural richness with contemporary luxury.
