At 1 AM on October 29th, the Vu Gia River at Ai Nghia reached 10.17 meters (1.17 meters above BĐ3); the Thu Bon River at Nong Son reached 16.6 meters (1.6 meters above BĐ3); at Giao Thuy, 9.43 meters (0.62 meters above BĐ3); at Cau Lau, 5.2 meters (1.2 meters above BĐ3); and at Hoi An, 3.11 meters (1.11 meters above BĐ3).
Forecasts indicate that flooding in the Vu Gia – Thu Bon rivers will continue to rise and reach peak levels within the next 24 hours. The Vu Gia River at Ai Nghia is expected to peak at 10.25 meters (1.25 meters above BĐ3), while the Thu Bon River at Cau Lau will fluctuate between 1.2 and 1.35 meters above BĐ3.
