Masterise Group released the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report (November 2025) for the Gia Binh International Airport construction project.
According to the developer, upgrading Gia Binh Airport into an international hub is expected to enhance transportation connectivity, attract investment, and drive development in Bac Ninh province and surrounding areas. Under the National Airport System Plan for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Gia Binh Airport is classified as a 4F airport with a projected capacity of 30 million passengers and 1.6 million tons of cargo annually by 2030, increasing to 50 million passengers and 2.5 million tons of cargo by 2050.
The project spans approximately 1,885 hectares across Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Lam Thao, and Nhan Thang communes in Bac Ninh province. It is located 20km from Bac Ninh City Center and 45km from Hanoi.
The total investment is VND 196.378 trillion, including VND 29.5 trillion for land compensation, VND 11 trillion in loan interest, VND 89.7 trillion for construction, and VND 30.7 trillion for equipment.
The project is divided into two phases: Phase 1 (2025-2030) and Phase 2 (2031-2050). The consulting firm for the project is ADCC (Airports Design and Construction Consultancy), with the EIA report prepared by the Institute of Environmental Science (IES) under the Ministry of Transport. ADCC is also the sponsor of the airport’s master plan.

Following the investment decision, the developer will proceed with detailed design work, advised by design consultants, for approval by the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee.
Masterise noted that the airport area is relatively flat, with no hills, and most of the land is currently used for rice cultivation, resulting in a lower elevation compared to surrounding areas.
In August 2025, construction of Gia Binh International Airport commenced, with Masterise as a co-sponsor.
Beyond this key project in Bac Ninh, in early November, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee approved Masterise Group’s proposal to study and develop the Phu My 2 Bridge project under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The proposed 6.3km bridge will connect Nguyen Huu Tho Street in Ho Chi Minh City to Lien Cang Road in Dong Nai province. The eight-lane bridge has an estimated investment of VND 12.9 trillion. The project is slated for investment approval in Q4 2025, with construction starting in Q3 2026 and completion by 2029.
