The comprehensive cooperation agreement signing ceremony between Viettel Post Hanoi and the Thanhmaihsk Chinese Language Training System took place during a period of rapid expansion in Vietnam’s logistics sector. This growth is directly influenced by the e-commerce boom and the continuous trade flow between Vietnam and China.

According to the General Statistics Office, the two-way trade turnover in 2024 reached $181 billion, maintaining China’s position as Vietnam’s largest trading partner. Simultaneously, the Vietnam Logistics Business Association reports that the domestic logistics industry is growing at 12-14% annually, one of the highest rates in the region.

This growth has created an urgent demand for a workforce proficient in Chinese, particularly in roles involving document handling, data exchange, and direct coordination with Chinese partners. The shortage of personnel fluent in Chinese has become a significant challenge for logistics companies, including Viettel Post.

In response to this practical need, Viettel Post Hanoi has partnered with Thanhmaihsk, a Chinese language training system under the TMEDU Language Education Organization, to develop an applied Chinese language training program. At the ceremony, Viettel Post Hanoi emphasized that the choice of Thanhmaihsk as a strategic partner was based not only on its specialized training capabilities but also on its vision for sustainable human resource development, meeting the demands of international integration and competition.

Thanhmaihsk’s corporate Chinese language training model is driven by the M-Contask method, a task- and context-based teaching approach successfully applied to hundreds of thousands of learners at Thanhmaihsk.

Unlike traditional theory-focused learning, M-Contask places learners in common professional scenarios in cross-border logistics, such as exchanging shipment information, confirming data, working with partner warehouses, describing shipping requirements, and handling document discrepancies. This approach helps learners develop language reflexes while solving real-world business tasks, a key factor in the fast-paced logistics industry.

Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Mai, Founder of Thanhmaihsk, shared: “Our goal is not just to teach Chinese but to enable employees to work effectively in Chinese immediately—learn and apply.”

Immediately after the signing, the first training course for 50 core Viettel Post Hanoi staff members was launched. This group frequently interacts with foreign partners and manages international delivery routes, positions requiring continuous use of Chinese. Viettel Post employees will be assessed based on Thanhmaihsk’s competency standards, focusing on three key skills: professional communication, task handling, and inter-departmental coordination in Chinese.

For Viettel Post Hanoi, Chinese language training is a crucial step in its new development phase. According to the National Logistics Development Strategy, the industry could reach $80-90 billion by 2030. As cross-border orders increase, the ability to collaborate with Chinese partners—a high-trade-volume market—becomes essential for operational efficiency.

Thanhmaihsk, part of the TMEDU Education Organization, is a short-term Chinese language training system built on research from the Bac Nha Applied Language Research Institute. Over 13 years, Thanhmaihsk has trained over 150,000 learners nationwide. Its two flagship academic products, the Msutong curriculum and the M-Contask method, are implemented in numerous training centers and major corporations across the country.

The partnership between Viettel Post Hanoi and Thanhmaihsk is expected to address immediate workforce needs and pave the way for sustainable development in Vietnam’s logistics sector, where language proficiency is becoming a necessity in the era of cross-border trade.
