Simultaneously, the bank was also honored as the company with the “Happy Workforce.”
Strengthening Position – Creating Sustainable Happiness
This marks the third consecutive year MSB has been recognized, affirming its consistently built, rigorously executed, and continuously improved HR strategy.
In this year’s rankings, MSB climbed 13 spots to 76th place among Large Enterprises and maintained its Top 7 position within the banking sector. This leap underscores the strong employer brand reputation MSB has built in the market. Key brand attractiveness metrics surged, notably a 65% increase in industry talent shifting from “interested” to “applying,” and a 38% rise in those moving from “aspiring” to “prioritizing” MSB, highlighting its emergence as a trusted career choice for high-quality professionals.

MSB’s appeal stems not only from its scale or growth rate but also from its strategy to foster an environment where individuals are empowered, equipped, and given opportunities to make an impact. Both internal and external talent highly regard MSB for its meaningful work, culture of continuous learning, competitive compensation, and commitment to community responsibility. These values are externally recognized and internally validated by high employee satisfaction, engagement, and pride—the foundation for MSB’s “Happy Workforce” certification.
Additionally, policies such as paid birthdays off, seniority-based leave increases, prioritized benefits for female employees, flexible work arrangements during natural disasters, and activities for employees’ children are designed to create an environment where staff can focus on their careers without compromising work-life balance. The bank is also investing in a new green, modern, and dynamic office space, enhancing efficiency and professionalism across the system.
Elevating Competencies, Leading the Future

2025 marks a new milestone in MSB’s training strategy as it standardizes and elevates its internal learning system. Since the year’s start, the bank has conducted 1,187 courses, including 695 flexible E-Learning sessions. Among these, 638 internal training programs totaling 1,995 hours engaged over 114,000 participants. These figures vividly reflect the “grow together” spirit now central to MSB’s culture.
For leadership development, the Leadership Ascent program stands out. With over 40 hours of intensive training and participation from 85 Branch Managers across both regions, it focuses on enhancing leadership thinking, management skills, and team guidance in the rapidly evolving financial sector.
Concurrently, MSB launched the 12-month “Leading the Way” program in partnership with McKinsey, a global consulting leader. Tailored to three focus areas—leading self, leading teams, and leading business—it helps senior managers accelerate key transformations and shapes a future leadership cadre with strong strategic thinking.
Preparing for the digital era, MSB organized a “Basic AI Guide” course for over 6,000 employees, equipping them with AI knowledge and practical technology application skills. This initiative is crucial for building a flexible, adaptive workforce ready to embrace new tech trends and drive change.
Three consecutive years of recognition mark a proud journey, but MSB doesn’t pursue accolades as an end goal. The bank remains committed to building internal strength through its people, viewing employees as the driving force behind its rise as a sought-after workplace.
Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Cương, MSB’s HR Director, shared: “We don’t just talk about people development—we invest in it as a core strategy. In today’s context, technology and digitalization can propel an organization quickly, but sustained progress requires capable, ambitious individuals. This year’s recognition confirms we have a team strong enough to lead MSB’s breakthroughs and conquer greater goals ahead.”
