VPBank Triumphs at Vietstock IR Awards 2025: A Story of IR Excellence and Growth

Honored in the category of "Large-Cap Financial Enterprise with the Most Highly Rated IR Activities by Financial Institutions" at the IR Awards 2025, VPBank not only solidifies its leadership in transparency but also showcases a distinctive approach: IR is more than just a channel for announcing results—it’s a platform to narrate a strategic journey, build market trust through intrinsic capabilities, and foster long-term vision.

At the IR Awards 2025 ceremony, Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank, HOSE: VPB) was honored in the category of “Large Cap Financial Institutions’ Best Assessment by Financial Institutions.”

This is one of the most prestigious awards of the IR Awards, an annual program co-organized by Vietstock, the Vietnam Association of Financial Executives (VAFE), and the FiLi e-magazine. The program aims to recognize listed companies with exemplary investor relations practices, professionalism, and a positive contribution to capital market development.

This award holds special significance as the market increasingly values transparency, consistency, and strategic thinking. VPBank’s recognition by nearly 40 professional financial institutions highlights that its IR activities not only meet standards but also deliver in-depth, valuable information. This helps the market clearly understand the bank’s direction, capabilities, and governance mindset.

Behind this achievement is a well-organized, consistent information system, from periodic disclosures to in-depth dialogue channels. VPBank not only fulfills its regulatory disclosure obligations but also proactively shares its strategy in a transparent, constructive manner with the investment community.

This year’s award convincingly demonstrates that VPBank’s IR activities not only operate effectively but also significantly enhance its competitive edge and brand positioning in an increasingly professional and sophisticated investment environment. It serves as a crucial stepping stone for IR to continue building trust, especially as VPBank enters a growth phase with larger domestic and international goals.

How VPBank’s IR Tells Its Growth Story

The recognition at IR Awards 2025 not only reflects a year of effort by the investor relations team but also underscores VPBank’s view of IR as an integral part of its long-term strategic journey.

Over nearly 15 years of transformation, VPBank has not only grown in scale but also continuously standardized its operations, enhanced transparency, and proactively engaged with the market. In this process, IR serves as the bridge between the bank’s internal strengths and investor expectations, between long-term strategy and market confidence.

In 2025, VPBank successfully raised a syndicated loan of 1.56 billion USD—the largest ever for a private organization in Vietnam. It also implemented significant sustainable finance agreements with SMBC, JICA, FinDev Canada, and other global development institutions. Notably, VPBank completed two landmark billion-dollar transactions in Vietnam: selling 49% of FE CREDIT to SMBCCF and issuing 15% of VPBank’s shares to SMBC. The success of these strategic deals was closely tied to the supportive and informative role of its IR system.

VPBank’s IR activities are also pivotal in building long-term market trust, as evidenced by numerous domestic and international accolades.

Earlier this year, VPBank released an independent Sustainability Report rated “Excellent” by Dragon Capital. The bank was also honored in Malaysia as one of the Top 5 Vietnamese companies with the highest ASEAN Corporate Governance Score (ACGS), maintained its position in the Top 20 for ESG performance, and was recognized by HOSE as one of the Top 10 large-cap companies with the best governance. Additionally, Global Business Outlook awarded VPBank “Best Investor Relations Bank” in 2024.

The role of IR becomes even more critical as VPBank pursues its 2022-2026 vision to rank among Asia’s Top 100 banks. For an organization aiming to compete regionally and globally, strategic market communication is no longer optional—it’s essential. In this journey, IR shapes expectations, fosters trust, and ensures the market accurately understands the bank’s strategy, execution capabilities, and commitment to sustainable development.
