Digiworld Corporation (DGW) has recently disclosed an unusual announcement regarding an administrative penalty for tax violations imposed by the Tax Department, totaling over VND 7.67 billion, including fines, tax arrears, and late payment fees.
Specifically, the company was fined VND 1.32 billion for administrative violations and was required to pay VND 5.739 billion in tax arrears and late fees due to “accurate declaration but incorrect payment period.”
Additionally, the company was further charged with VND 37 million in value-added tax and VND 2.1 million in personal income tax, along with VND 563.6 million in late tax payment fees.

Digiworld confirmed that the entire amount was paid in full on the same day the penalty decision was received to ensure compliance with legal regulations and avoid additional costs.
Digiworld is one of Vietnam’s largest technology product distributors, operating in the distribution of mobile phones, computers, consumer electronics, and expanding into healthcare and fast-moving consumer goods sectors.
On the stock market, DGW shares closed the trading session on November 24th with a decrease of VND 1,000, settling at VND 43,900 per share. Despite a slight decline, DGW remains one of the positively performing stocks, having risen nearly 10% in just over a week.
