On November 25th, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Văn Chính, alongside Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Bùi Xuân Cường, led a delegation to inspect the progress of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project.

In Đồng Nai, the Project Management Unit reported that the 11.3 km section comprises 3 construction packages and 2 auxiliary packages, totaling VND 1,853 billion. Construction progress has reached 51.7%, a 4.7% increase since the September 25th inspection. Despite challenges like prolonged rain and material shortages, particularly stone, the unit pledged to work overtime to meet the technical completion deadline of April 30, 2026.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Văn Chính acknowledged the efforts and urged continued progress, emphasizing material and equipment readiness, and proactive weather contingency plans. He stressed the project’s significance as a tribute to the 14th National Party Congress, demanding quality and safety across all packages.

The delegation then inspected Package 3 in Thủ Đức. Mr. Lê Ngọc Hùng noted the VND 75,358 billion project is divided into 8 components across 4 localities. Land clearance is nearly complete in HCMC and Tây Ninh, with Bình Dương and Đồng Nai finalizing technical infrastructure relocations by December 2025.
Current progress: HCMC at 67.2% (+8.5%), Đồng Nai at 51.7% (+4.7%), former Bình Dương at 51.6% (+6%), and Long An at 87% (+5.1%). Units are engaged in a 100-day sprint to complete key milestones.
By December 19, 2025, technical openings are planned for 5 km in Đồng Nai, 3.1 km in former Bình Dương, 6.4 km in Long An (now Tây Ninh), 32.6 km in Củ Chi – Hóc Môn – Bình Chánh, and 14.7 km in Thủ Đức.
Contractors cited stone shortages due to concurrent major projects like the Long Thành airport. Some quarries await license renewals.
