“VssID Shows Drastic Drop in Social Insurance Contribution Period: From 14 Years 8 Months to 10 Years 7 Months – Vietnam Social Security Responds”

According to the Vietnam Social Security, some employees may find discrepancies in their social insurance contribution history on the VssID app. In such cases, affected individuals should promptly report the issue to their local social insurance agency or their current employer, who will then collaborate with the social insurance authority to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.

Mr. Tran Quang Khai’s inquiry regarding discrepancies in his social insurance contribution period on the VssID app.

The Government’s Electronic Information Portal recently published an inquiry from Mr. Tran Quang Khai, who has been using the VssID app to monitor his social insurance contributions. Previously, the app functioned normally, displaying his contribution period as approximately 14 years and 8 months.

However, Mr. Khai recently noticed that his recorded contribution period had reduced to only 10 years and 7 months. His contributions from 2010 to 2015 were missing.

In response, Mr. Khai requested that the relevant authorities investigate and resolve his case.

    Vietnam Social Security’s Response:

Vietnam Social Security acknowledged that some users, including Mr. Khai, have experienced missing contribution periods on the VssID app. Affected individuals are advised to contact their local social insurance agency or employer to coordinate updates to their records.

The agency confirmed that all social and health insurance participation data has been digitized, synchronized, and securely stored in their database, ensuring benefit eligibility for all participants.

Vietnam Social Security is actively implementing solutions to promptly update contribution data on the VssID app for all users.

Following a review, the agency has corrected Mr. Khai’s social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance records to reflect his accurate contribution history.
