Previously, on November 24th, the People’s Committee of Phu Tho Province registered a list of key, large-scale projects to highlight the celebration of the Party Congress. This includes three groundbreaking projects and two inauguration projects, all of which are expected to significantly impact the province’s socio-economic development.
The three groundbreaking projects are: Phu Tho Station, a critical component of the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway project in Phong Chau Ward; the construction of IC2 and IC5 interchanges on the Noi Bai – Lao Cai Expressway, spanning Phuc Yen Ward and Tam Duong Commune; and the Lynn Times Residences tourism apartment and conference center, part of the Wyndham Thanh Thuy International Convention Center, Hotel, and Resort project in Thanh Thuy Commune.
The two inauguration projects are: the expanded Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant (Unit 2) in Hoa Binh Ward, and the Trạm Thản Waste-to-Energy Plant in Trạm Thản Commune. These projects mark significant strides in clean energy development and environmental protection for the province.
Chairman Tran Duy Dong emphasized that the groundbreaking and inauguration of these major projects are not only pivotal political events but also catalysts for the province’s future socio-economic growth. He urged all departments, investors, and local authorities to heighten their sense of responsibility and adopt a “swift and bold” approach, working continuously in “three shifts, four teams,” with a mindset of “eating on the go and sleeping sparingly.” This includes working through holidays and weekends to ensure the projects meet their deadlines and quality standards.
The Department of Construction has been designated as the lead agency for preparing and organizing the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies. They will collaborate closely with other units to monitor progress, address challenges, and develop a plan for a solemn, practical, and cost-effective event. Additionally, the department will advise the People’s Committee to ensure all projects are ready for groundbreaking and inauguration in accordance with government regulations and the overall program.
