Specifically, after reviewing the report from the Provincial Land Fund Development Center on the compensation and site clearance progress as of November 20, 2025, and the proposal from the Department of Home Affairs, the People’s Committee commended the Provincial Land Fund Development Center for its high sense of responsibility, proactive monitoring, and timely reporting of challenges to the provincial authorities.

Additionally, the People’s Committee praised three units: the People’s Committees of Dong Xoai Ward and Phuoc Son and Bu Dang Communes for achieving a 100% completion rate in land origin verification, draft compensation plan preparation, and public posting. These units also achieved over 30% approval of compensation and support plans for affected cases in their areas.

Conversely, the People’s Committee criticized and urged three units—the People’s Committees of Dong Tam, Tan Loi, and Nghia Trung Communes—for their delayed progress as of November 20, 2025. These units were instructed to promptly identify the causes, implement specific solutions, and ensure the timely completion of compensation and site clearance for the Gia Nghia – Chon Thanh Expressway project.

The Gia Nghia – Chon Thanh Expressway spans over 128 km, with 101 km passing through Dong Nai Province. To execute the project, Dong Nai Province must reclaim over 940 hectares of land, affecting approximately 2,200 households.

In October 2025, the People’s Committee launched a 90-day plan for land reclamation, compensation, support, and resettlement, aiming to complete these tasks by the end of 2025.
