According to Forbes’ World Billionaires List, updated as of December 1, 2025 (Vietnam time), billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong has amassed a fortune of $24.3 billion. This places the Chairman of Vingroup Joint Stock Company (Stock Code: VIC, HoSE) at the 94th position among the world’s wealthiest individuals, maintaining his status as Vietnam’s richest person.

Vuong’s wealth surge coincides with the continued strong performance of VIC shares on the stock market. During the morning trading session on December 1, 2025, VIC shares were trading at VND 272,100 per share, marking a 4.5% increase from the previous session.

As of November 26, 2025, Vuong holds over 389.9 million VIC shares, representing a 10.048% stake in Vingroup.

Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong and billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao

Two other Vingroup ecosystem stocks, VHM of Vinhomes Joint Stock Company (Stock Code: VHM, HoSE) and VRE of Vincom Retail Joint Stock Company, are also trading positively at VND 105,000 and VND 34,800 per share, respectively.

A significant portion of Vuong’s wealth is also tied to VinFast, a company listed on the Nasdaq (USA) under the ticker VFS.

Forbes’ update reveals that Vietnam is home to five USD billionaires as of December 1, 2025.

Following Vuong is Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City Development Commercial Joint Stock Bank (HDBank) and Chairwoman of Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company. Thao’s net worth stands at $4.7 billion, ranking her 863rd globally.

On the morning of December 1, 2025, Vietjet’s VJC shares were trading at VND 207,500 per share, up 1.97% from the previous close.

According to the 2025 semi-annual governance report, Thao owns nearly 47.5 million VJC shares, equivalent to an 8.02% stake in Vietjet. At the current trading price, her VJC holdings are valued at approximately VND 9,850 billion.

Additionally, HDBank’s HDB shares are trading at VND 31,550 per share. Thao holds nearly 130.8 million HDB shares, valued at around VND 4,125 billion based on the current trading price.

With her substantial assets, Thao ranks above Vietnam’s three other USD billionaires on Forbes’ list as of December 1, 2025.

In third place is Tran Dinh Long, Chairman of Hoa Phat Group, with a net worth of $2.7 billion, ranking 1,482nd globally.

Fourth is Ho Hung Anh, Chairman of Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank), with assets totaling $2.3 billion, placing him 1,711th worldwide.

The final Vietnamese entrepreneur on Forbes’ billionaire list is Nguyen Dang Quang, Chairman of Masan Group, with a net worth of $1.1 billion, ranking 2,949th globally.
